black ibiza fmic at donny south ?????

i remember seeing a black ibiza cupra at donny south this year and it was fairly standard with a fmic, firstly was it you and do you have any pics i can look at? and second what fmic was it? im sure i was told it was from another car with pipework made up but i cant clearly remember. please help

Looks good only thing about them is fitted to oneside, am going to fit a custom fmic when i get the bits, intercooler is ordered now just need to order the pipe work and then get a free day or so off at work to get it on the ramp n get it fitted.

what intercooler u using mate is it one of ebay am looking at a custom intercooler at the moment not found the right one yet.

I have just ordered this one http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZjp-specQQhtZ-1 ( the one half way down the page 24" 7" 2.5" for focus, soosx, pulsar, civic etc...), i have no idea what its going to be like but i have had a look at the pipe work and sorted that out. Just waiting on the intercooler to come and have a look and double check before i order the piping. However alot of people do use the laguna intercooler as its proven that it works but i wanted to try something alittle different. Also this is smaller and should be able to be fitted in the centre of the bumper having to made some brackets to mount the radiator n aircon backwards tho but still different.

I will hopefully be doing a guide when it comes to fitting the intercooler aswell, all going well.

ok mate be intresting in seeing your guide.One of the companys up here are fitting a custom ic to the golf 20vt and was more than happy to do one for mine but aint got back with a price.

Yeh well its ordered now and paid for so just waiting on delivery n then fitting when i get chance. Will take some pics and post it up.

whats the difference between the standard intercooler of the cupra and the laguna fmic???
Might be a stupid question to some, but new to tuning the 20vt.
Will changing it increase the power of standard, and why use that instead of a forge (or other make) fmic?

Forge is a fortune about £600, very good quality tho and works extremly well,
Laguna is a cheap option but looks are debatable and each to their own but also works very well
Custom. . . well erm... not proven to work....could be a waste of money...hassle to fit....but its a challange so thats y im going to do my own, lets just hope all goes well. Need someone in Teeside (stockton, middlesbrough, redcar area) with vag.com who will help me do some logs when fitted as i dont have vag.com. Anyone got any ideas of people who can help?

done a search found some interesting topics, but hasnt really told me what the bennifits are when fitting one.

Is it because its a turbo car and they produce more power with colder denser air? has anyone fitted a water spray kit, as thats what the japs use?
