 i wonder how many there are.

where is GD from. i bought it from southend so would it be essex area. i think Milton Keynes (or Bucks) is KN.... my mate refused his new clio when it turned up because it had a KN03 number plate and he didnt want to be known as a knob...

Mines a GD04 too....but in a far better colour ;)

i bought 2nd hand from sussex somewhere, but i no it was supplied new from amethyst seat in cheltenham. so GD could be Gloucester as its just up the road.

I think Gloucester stil used V somethings?? I know when we were looking at ordering the Lupo from Bramalls they tolds us they came under the Worcester V's.

Not really worth knowing, but thought i'd share it anyway!

jst googled it and GD came up as maidstone on two sites and glasgow on another!! god knows where it originally came from then.

Personally i think you're both wrong.......

i would have agreed if i didn't know how much of a pain black cars are to keep clean!. when they are clean you may have a half decent colour, all other times red is the best. trust me. ;)

lol... i thought i would let you argue that one to death before i said anything... im with prophet, i love black LCR's but not sure i could handle keeping it clean.. saying that i was looking for a grey one when i bought mine but fell in love with red as soon as i saw it.

I'd prefer Platinum but can't have everything. I hate how quickly black gets dirty, but its worth it when its clean. Well, it would be if the stonechips would polish off!

mine was a GD04 too in the right colour............. and i was told it looked good in the rear view mirror.

that does sound nice,
the only thing that puts me off is the dronning noise when your cruising on the motorway,
I like being able to cruise at 70 and it be really quiet.

whats it like on the motorway?

That sounds awesome!...

Yeah, as m.r.davies said though, what's it like cruising on the motorway?

That's what I used to like about a magnex system I had on an old 106 GTi, it sounded well but wasn't that much louder on the motorway

Either way... I wish I had some spare money this month now!! (out of interest, how much are these systems?) :p

i'd get it on the rollers first to see what its doing when it is "supposedly" standard.

thats what my friends are telling me to do as well mate.. are we gonna have a blast there too :)

you cant hear the exhaust when cruising, its amazingly quiet but my boot is soundproofed so im not sure what it would be like on unsoundproofed leon.. i'll happily take anyone out in it if they are concerned about the noise whilst cruising... well as long as theyre looking to buy a Blueflame, im not offering a free for all :p

hmm yes makes it sound like a race car.

Shame its not a race car.

Don't know why but I've never been keen on loud pipes on cars. Just seem pointless somehow. I suppose it stems from all those boy racers in their body kitted 1.1 corsas with defening pipes on that blow out your eardrums as their car crawls past, (whilst being overtaken by a mum in her focus).

I think most "sports" cars come with pipes that are plenty fruity enough to be honest. Louder ones just annoy the hell out of all your neighbours and ensure you do get done for that minor violation the police stopped you for, not worth the points on your licence IMO, (especially as they dont give any significant performance improvement).

Bikes now thats a different matter, open pipes are ok on them because stock bikes sound like washing machines without them. Plus they'll save your life by stopping that idiot car driver/ pedestrian from pulling out in front of you because they haven't seen you. With a pipe they'll most likely hear you coming. Even so I still don't like the stupidly loud ones, (eg the old Yoshis etc which only had around an inch of can around the pipe).

cuprablue

I have to agree with you cupra blue, the saxo and corsa generation have put me off too.

All i want is something that sounds a bit more aggressive when your having a play.
but silent when your not.
