Its very slight weep and apparently even common on the standard ones. If you could let me know exactly which ones I can pop to b&q and get some. :)

There should only be one sort of packet for them mate, you should be able to tell which one by eye, i think the packets were around £1.60 if thats any help :)

I got given two connectors, one for either end of the pipe, if you get the sfs pipe with two connectors it will connect straight to your original pancake no problem, I only used one connector as the 1.8t pancake pipe doesn't have a silly connector so it fits perfectly over :) hope that helps mate

WHat diameter of hose to you need to fit over the intercooler end of the 1.8T pancake pipe?

Well after being on holiday for a week ive been thinking about the problems maz had with swelling of the boost pipes and i was thinking maybe my ths169 boost pipe may have swelled under boost and been rubbing. How right i was, it wasnt major, just tiny marks but it goes to show you that the pipes swell alot as i made sure my pipe was away, atleast a good inch or so from anything with a pointy edge. So today i got some metal pipe and done the same thing as Jonjay has got and what chrisgtl is also doing. Heres a few pics :) Also got another job for D.K [B)]

Only problem is the belt, the standard plastic pipe is so close to it, but i managed to avoid it with alot of room to spare :)

So the SFS all silicone pipe causes problems???

What size diameter and lengths have you used for the alloy pipes and silicone bends? Think I might have a go making one up instead of the SFS pipe.

The diameter of the sfs turbo red pipe is 50mm, and the pancake end it slides over is 50mm so you get a good fit, then the other end is 60mm ;)

The full sfs THS169 actually swelled so much under boost, so much that is rubbed on the belt and scored a little hole in it, then found it when i was driving home from work one night, booted it and loud hissing, so next day i cut the straights out and used 60mm pipe. To make this pipe yourself, you will need a metre of 60mm ally pipe, two 90degrees silicone bends and one 45degrees bend, hope that helps mate. Top pipe is made up of 60mm pipe work ;)

Thanks for that.

So do I need 60mm OD or ID! I need it to fit over an EGR delete pipe too - which is 57mm OD or ID??? so i need 60mm OD or ID hose??? Now I'm confusing myself!

I think SFS sell the connectors separately, as I will need two of these to fit to the intercooler. I think these are 60mm too???

So 60mm ID for the silicone hoses and 60mm OD for alloy pipes. :)

I used to have a 110tdi and was great not having these stupid connectors I now have to put up with!
