Can't find charging schedule....

As I understand it, Intelligent Octopus Go can talk directly to certain cars, AND to certain chargers (eg if you have a 7kW wall-box fitted).

So if you have a charger it recognises, the car doesn't matter, but the flip-side is that if you have a car which it recognises, my understanding is the charger doesn't matter. That said I've never used it myself so don't know how well this works out in practice,

There's an eligibility checker here and I believe you can enter the charger type as 3 pin plug or some such.

If you're not on Octopus and wanted to try it, I imagine @nch45167 will have a referral code which benefits both of you by few quid.
Thanks, I'd confirmed what the previous poster had said using the checker. Sadly I'm already on Octopus, but the non intelligent version.

Hi, Octopus Intelligent Go requires you to log into your Cupra Account (via a third party system that Cupra use). When the 3 pin charger (or other compatible charger) is plugged in, the car starts to briefly charge. I am no tecky but the car, via the third party, let's Octopus know you want to charge the car. From what I can see, Octopus then schedules the charge (something Cupra themselves seem to be unable to do currently).
You will already have set within the Octopus App how much you want the car charged to (probably 80%) and what time eg 8am. Octopus then sets a Charging Schedule to get it to that % by the time specified.
Whilst Octopus Intelligent Go has off peak rates from around 11.30pm to 5.30am, Octopus could decide to charge it outside of these times but will still charge you the off peak rate - it works faultlessly and once set up, as long as you don't need to change the % or the time, all you need to do is plug in the charger.
The Octopus App will then shortly display the schedule.

If you do want a referral code (both parties get £50 account credit each) - https://share.octopus.energy/loved-shell-69

Some images attached which hopefully show how it works?

Thanks for this. I've successfully conned Octopus into thinking I have a CUPRA Formentor, but I can't seem to get it linked to my CUPRA Connect account. On its own, the CUPRA connect account shows I have a Leon, and that it is plugged in and charging, but when octopus tries to link to the CUPRA Connect account, it shows no vehicle linked to account. Any ideas, or have a done something stupid.

Do you have the correct username and paaword for Cupra Connect - these can easily be reset within the Cupra App. Once you are past this point stop, u. Plug TH charger, wait a few minutes then reconnect. Ensure Smart Charging is toggles on within the Octopus App

I'm doing something stupid. By CUPRA Connect, I assume you mean the app that shows as My CUPRA. I also have the My Seat app. Both have the same username and password, and when I sign on to either, it shows the Seat Leon, and it's correct state. From within Octopus, I enter the same username and password, it seems to connect to something, and then says no vehicle connected. In the troubleshooting for that page, it says one problem might be that the car is not compatible (which of course it isn't 😀) .

Tried it again this morning. Octopus is looking for a CUPRA Formentor, CUPRA Connect has a Seat Leon. The notes on the Octopus screen say that it interrogates the car for vehicle details. I'm not sure how this has ever worked for anyone 😞

I wonder if the problem is that IOG sees SEAT instead of Cupra. I think IOG works if the old ehybrid is chosen (SEAT Leon eHybrid (10.0 kWh)) but only gets 50% charge. Might be worth trying, or even try SEAT Mii Electric (32.0 kWh) and select 50% charge to get 80%.

I don't have IOG so just speculating. I need to do a complicated calculation to work out if it is cheaper for me than Agile Octopus, which is often cheapish for most of the day ... if you can get IOG to work.
