Lowering doesn't change the geo on these cars though, so Uneven tyre wear comes from elsewhere, over or under inflated tyres, the toe is wrong etc etc

Most people it's coincidental with lowering as some people don't bother getting it set up after fitting coilies etc

Both of mine have been 100% perfect having being set up properly. I'd say it's down to half the people on here cutting corners/ Saving money by not having 4 wheel alignment after suspension changes to be honest.

erm no i had that done at amd after fitting 14 months later inside edge very badly worn nearly 5mm everywhere else. I know alot of epople with coilovers, Claire has them on her mk2 for example. That and down tot he crap design of the car work mates has it on his standard mk4 golf.

Exactly, 14 months later, going down a pothole can knock tracking out even. You just said it yourself, your colleagues STANDARD mk4 golf does it, so it's not down to lowering. I wasn't starting an argument, I was suggesting it to Chino as sound advice, as I have found this the case personally from my experiences and you tell me I'm wrong :| My old fr used to do it until I did the alignment on it and cupra did after I had the diff done, because the subframe had to come off, until I had it alligned properly. Once done they both have worn tyres evenly, end of.

I think it's just been tracked wrong previously tbh, I've still got 11k out of a set of Toyo PX4's which is more than I expected them to last so all in all it's not the end of the world. I had it tracked about a month ago, so will keep them on another month or so and change the yres and get a 4 wheel alignment just before the MOT.
I think a huge problem is a lot of places just aren't able to properly track lowered cars. I had this problem when I lowered the corsa, but after taking it somewhere decent it was fine, suspect the same will be true on the Ibiza.
On the upside car seems to feel a lot better for a small amout of lowering, less front end lift on acceleration etc.

Well mine was fine until it was lowered in fact it hit a pot hole before and was fine and now after is not I am going on a million and one thread and other people who told me you lowered the car that is why your tracking is out as I said I had mine aligned at Amd. I am saying is due to the crap deign of the car AND lowering only makes it worse really. Then the debate about you cannot adjust the rear camber on the mk 4 or summit as well there are soooo many thread on tis yet to hear anyone say they got it really sorted.
I am not starting an argument only stating what hundreds of threads say on here otherwise.

Again, mine wear perfect, so not down to a 'crap' design. And to clear up camber adjustment, there isn't any front or back. No toe or caster adjustment either, rear is solid and camber set to approx -1 from factory. On the front only the toe is adjustable, nothing else.

No need to search, I've seen them, it's the same on all car forums I guess. And it's not down to luck, it's down to them being done properly on both cars, I do 60 miles a day so i soon notice the wear trust me lol White fr as standard went through to the cords quickly :(

Picked these up last night:

OZ, think they're Superturismo's. They have centre caps that cover the bolt holes, these have been sent off with a mate to be sprayed gloss black though.

Thanks guys, hoping to have them on in the next week, just waiting for payday so I can get the tyres swapped over. The ones that are on at the moment came with the car, never really been able to justify splashing £600 on wheels, so when these popped up as a bit of a bargain I couldn't resist.

Oh also, these have a large centre cap to cover the bolt holes etc, when I got them it they were still all silver, so have been sent off to be powder coated.

Right one step closer! The threads that the centre plates screw into were messed up a little by the powder coating. So, a quick raid of the fathers tool shed for a 6mm tap (they use a standard M6 style screw), and I'm cleaning the threads out...just one is giving me trouble but I'm sure I'll sort it:
