does this rear spring look right ?

Part of me thinks it may be upside down or something else paranoid

looks very condensed together to me... how low is that set?

also yeah id say it was upside down, must be bouncy as feck like thats

Did you fit these yourself?
Can you see the rubber mounting piece between the spring top and the chassis nipple?
I'd say there on the right way but perhaps too soft a spring rate as there doesn't seem like much room for movement there

Got the fitted by a local mechanic Willie.
Weitecs with brand new top mounts, but the old sleeves and bump stops.

Tyres are nearly level with the arch lips, so not too low ;)

I did wonder if removing the platforms would open up the springs.

The wife says the ride height is ‘nearly’ low enough !!!

I'm pretty sure my rear springs are on the other way around with the coils toching at the bottom

Did you emove the metal ring before you fitted the bottom spring cup adjuster?

I'm with this guy^^

Not done the suspension on my LC, but all other cars i've done, clio, fiesta etc.. the spring is progressively wound to be closer coiled at the bottom.

pretty certain the upper part of the spring, as fitted, is not ground flat though ???

thanks Dave, thats what i thought :) The flat face must go against the adjuster as it has a bigger surface area.

Are these Weitec gt coilovers?

Ive just fitted some on my lcr this is the correct way round , the spring will not sit the other way round because the top coil is to small to pass over the hight adjuster it does seem odd but when i looked in the instructions it was correct:)

the very same mate :)

Looks like the progressive part of the spring is the other way up compared to Adam's red ones.
