Coil Spring compressor @ Halfords is £19.99 to be exact! Bought one a few weeks ago. Made by 'Laser' i think?

cool ill bear that in mind, had a thought the lad im doing it with works at a ford dealership so i would assume he would be able to get some.

i didn't use any one mine neither, you might want to get new top mounts and bearings, make sense if your taking it apart anyway.

yeh already have all mounts front and rear and new bearing sat in my bedroom, just need the bloody coilovers now!

they will arrive mate, having said that mine took a little over a week to come from germany!!

the only thing a found was the black caps on the front top mounts in the engine bay were a nightmare to get off, i resulted to cutting them off as they were not going to fit back on!

Just buy new top mounts and bearings then you dont have to touch that large nut on the top, just drop the suspension out after undoing the 2 17mm on the hub and the 3 12mm? on the top mount. Just falls out.

Dont know what the fuss is about.

mine should be fairly easy then as i have all new mounts and bearings. Aslong as the nuts and bolts all come undone ok...

I wont be needed spring compressors then?

nope u wont need them m8, your old strut will come out as 1, and if youve got new top mounts u dont need to get to the old ones do u.. so no compressors needed..

Fitted LCR splitter.....and the coilys have settled a bit more :D
