OK...what are the issues with S20004U ?

Mine is on Autotrader now. Already put it in motion yesterday.

I hope no one calls my bluff and turns up with a large suitcase full of cash...!

That would be a real dilemma. :headhurt:

S20004u are sheisters of the highest order. Advertise a car with 4 new tyres ... it comes with 4 average ones etc etc ... 20k difference between milleages of adverts and real cars.

Unfortunately the car is worth what its worth regardless of millage, I was in the same situation with mine, mine only had 6k miles with the same spec and colour and I traded it in just before it was 3 yrs old. The dealer gave me 11k, I couldn't sell it private, petrol costs put people off, and I had it advertised for £12500. Madness really when you think what you are buying yet no one wanted it.

Yes in this climate that may be so. The car has more value to someone who is obsessive and wants perfection and values how's it's been pampered...it's like a brand new motor.

That'll be me then ???

If you bide your time you might pick up an early car with low miles and all the work done for around the 5k mark - if you're going to lose that on the Leon why not keep the Leon .... get an S2000 over the winter and spend the winter getting it ready for summer - then you can punt it on towards the end of the summer having had 6 months of fun with it :)

Again though, in this climate when people are more careful with cash, a buyer is going to pick a 09/59 plate car with a bit of more mileage than a 12-18month older one with less mileage for the same cash.

It also seems your issues with salesmen/dealers is you expect them to offer the world for your car because you've been anal about its upkeep. Back in the real world, it means **** all to be frank about it.

No, if you read my earlier comments, the same salesman also tried to rip my wife off on p/x on a 'non-anal' car ...

Rip off as in... give her the going book price?

No... A grand under book value & 2 grand over book on their car, - take my word for it, ok ?
Even more annoying as we bought the car from them and paid top dollar for it in first place, but dealing with a different sales kid who didn't know that exposes their con tricks...

I have to agree with this being honest. It is very unlikely, in my opinion, the door will be battered down at £14500 for a 3 year old car which is out of warranty when there are a few 2009 and 2010 facelift Cupras also on Autotrader with similar miles at dealers, also in mint condition for about the same price and 1.5+ years of warranty left.

Lol, yeah same here... Only downside with such low mileage is not getting any value from the warranty, although to be fair to Seat, they did replace the exhaust at the MOT due to faulty weld that must have been there on day 1. Local dealer lost the stealer title that day...if only the Honda dealer was as decent.

Lol, I don't think you quite read between the lines... As with my Orion alloys, if I can't sell at a price I consider reasonable, I won't sell. I ain't desperate to sell it.
But anyone wanting a total Mint Cupra will  when they see mine in the flesh...
If not, happy to keep it. ;)

PS I forgot to say that I work in Sales Management, specialist area is value selling...
