Just ordered:

  • Forge FMIC Kit
  • Forge polished & debaffled charge pipe
  • Forge 007p spring kit
  • Hughes engineering rear upper brace
  • HID's - 6K H7R with slim ballasts
  • Sidelights

Still to buy...

  • Forge short shifters
  • Jabba heat shield
  • Insulating manifold gasket.

Can't wait for it to all arrive!! :D :D

Nice spend up! The Forge polished & debaffled charge pipe... Can you order these direct from Forge then?? Or is someone polishing it for you? I want one.

Got the same HID's sitting under my bed waiting to be fitted. Good choice.
Are they LED sidelights you've gone for?

I want the short shifter, not sure I need the side one aswell tbh, but if it feels alot tighter and a nicer change I'll get both. Let us know how you find it when you purchase and fit ;)

Solid buys though mate, really good quality items and it's good an LCR is getting the treatment that it deserves [B)]

I ordered it from DPM Performance, heres the link: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=290656

It will arrive in the same package as the FMIC and 007p springs as I bought the whole lot from Damian @ DPM. Top bloke!

I went for these sidelights: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....15856&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2876wt_1139

Someone on here reccomended them, cant remember who, but they look decent. I have crappy orange ones in there at the moment, look awful.

Im really tempted by the short shifter, might invest on Monday :D

Not sure im going to be able to wait to fit these HID's. might just do them tomorrow afternoon :D

HID's and sidelights arrived...

You can see how small and slim the ballasts are, should be really easy to fit :)

Didnt have much to do this afternoon so couldnt resist fitting the HID's and side lights. Really easy to do, only took around an hour or so.

IMG00232-20101031-1405.jpg

This is what my old sidelights looked like, horrible orange ones fitted by the previous owner.

IMG00233-20101031-1405.jpg

Standard orangey bulbs. Not good!

IMG00234-20101031-1406.jpg

Just a close up for comparisons later.

IMG00235-20101031-1507.jpg

Grommets fitted into the back of the headlight covers.

IMG00236-20101031-1538.jpg

Left ballast fitted in the wing to the right of the battery

IMG00238-20101031-1538.jpg

Right ballast on the front of the washer bottle.

Might move them when I take the bumper off to fit the FMIC but these locations will do for now.

IMG00241-20101031-1559.jpg

Bypassed the N249 valve a while ago but never removed the reservoir. So out it came!

IMG00242-20101031-1601.jpg

Left the valve and bracket in to whole it in place. Stops the EML light coming on. I use the engine cover anyway so wont be seen.

IMG00243-20101031-1645-2.jpg

Nice bright white sidelights

IMG00245-20101031-1645.jpg

Close up shows how white they are

IMG00248-20101031-1707.jpg

Beam pattern looks fairly decent too. Will get them aligned soon.

Overall really pleased, should actually be able to see where im going now!!

Nice one mate. I'm going to be ordering my LED sidelights in a few mins as my HID's went on today too! SNAP! ;)

Yours look spot on by the way bud. Match the sidelights well. My HID's are 6000k too. Got the 'R' bulbs on mine and the beam pattern is near perfect. I can see in the dark now too :cartman:

The OEM setup is pretty drab on the Mk1 Leon's I must admit.

I think I'm going to have to order one of those Forge charge pipes. Will compliment my jabba heatshield when that goes in, being all shiney and all. [B)]

I swear we are ordering all the same mods! I have a Jabba heat shield and forge charge pipe on the way lol :)

OEM setup was awful! Could never see where I was going, will be out in the dark tomorrow so will post up what the difference is like then.

Well that's crap saying that itself really, mine and sambryants tx fmic have been spot on and running for a while now with zero probs and noticeable gains.
Not saying it's better than a forge, but it's been spot on for me.

Though you can buy tx ones on jbi motorsport site not just eBay outlets ;) They do lots of applications, astra vxr etc..

Adam your forge looks the part though. Log it using vag-com on some runs to see the reduction in intake temps :)
