Right update time. Managed to get hold of a 2nd hand pair of 20mm Eibach rear spacers. Its been one of those mods that ive been meaning to do for aaaages and never got round to it. So when a pair came up at a good price i had to jump at the chance.
Here is the pic of them with some extra long locking wheel nuts!
Took a pic of how the wheels were sitting, pre-spacer, as you all know, standard, they really sit deep inside the rear arches... mine were no different.
Next up, getting the wheel off, the nuts came off just fine, but the wheel was a right pain in the ass to get off. Had to give it a good kick, but finally it came off!
Supposed to make the rear alot more planted and widens the rear track of the car up making it more stable. Not had the chance to test it, but its got to be alot better than running no spacers at all.
Can't believe it's taken you this long to get them!! :O Makes a good difference! I'm looking at my 15mm ones just now and thinking I'm in need of 20s...
Bit of an update, the car is all booked in to AMD Essex on Monday morning Im having them supply and fit a set opf AP coilovers. Got a very good price on them and they are doing half price fitting that includes 4 wheel laser alignment!
Going to hang about the garage if they let me and try and take a few snaps of them fitting them. If that fails i'll just take a before and after shot!
Anyone recommend how much i should get it dropped? Thing is i dont want it stupidly low as i have a high'ish driveway that i have to pull in and out of everyday and its already claimed one front bumper! But i still want to to look lower than it does now (on standard cupra suspension).
Nice one dude! Mines dropped about 55mm ish and realistically it's a bit low to be practical, but I wouldn't have it any higher. Mine sits nicely on the wheel imo.
Thanks for the pic Riko. Yeh i think i sort of want mine that height. The height that makes the top of the wheel just reach the top of the arch. Suppose its trial and error until you get it how you want.

You want a decent stance, so make sure it's sitting slightly lower at the front. Mine's on 17's, as is yours, and is probably sitting 60/45ish - get it sitting like that and you'll forget about parking in your drive though!
