all this money spent danny just take it to a vag specialist for them to have a look it won't be much i bet but least you have piece of mind its setup right

It'd been built by a vag specialist so there's no need . My mate will check the timing when he comes todo the vvt gasket.

Please James send it over ;-)

Yeah please phil we have had te cams out as the head has been fully rebuilt along with the bottom end :) ..funny think is it starts first time lol..

Can anyone run me through how todo the tba

Quick question, are you using your original cam cover?

It's easy to do tho.

Start with the cambelt, set it to tdc using the crank pulley notch.. This one is out slightly..

Then check your marks on the cam against the cam cover notch.

If that's ok your cam to cam timing.

If either are out you'll throw a code but it doesn't really make much starting differenc but just feels a bit down on power that's all.

Had a awesome Day today Managed to sort all the Hosing and vac piping out,Renew all my Clamps and clips And re done my exhaust and it no long has a slight Hiss coming from it :D Result...

Also big thanks to chris whitworth for todays antics:D Was a massive help he got my TB all Done TBA and it idles a real Treat :D....slight cough 3-4 secs after starting it then its fine...

Just These 2 codes to sort now and its all done..

You're sounding more confident and comfortable with the engine now that you're getting on top of the list of jobs Danny. I've really enjoyed following your progress over the last few weeks.

I hope it beds in well so that you can enjoy driving it again :)

The Godspeed discs are highly regarded... Did you go for the single piece or 2 piece discs? Either way they'll look nice nice behind the wheels... and should work well too.
