Took the trumpet thing out last night! Don't know if it has made much differance cos I haven't taken it for a drive yet, apart from to work this morning and the engine doesn't get warm enuf to give it some stink! So on the the way up to Sunny Sunderland today I will see what the crack is. I'm not expecting much differance but we'll see! :D

hi guys, i know this is slightly off topic but i have a question
im lookin at getting an ibiza cupra, i want to add a bit more power without changing the turb etc
if put a green cotton panel filter and modify the airbox and inlet as you have been talking about, then remapping it to the 220 bhp area, would i be putting too much strain on the standard turbo? mite seem like a silly question to you guys but im new with the turbos!!!
thanks

240bhp is the max of the ko3s turbo (which ^^ you ^^ have) a smooth remap and the green pannel filter will get you around the 210/220bhp mark

ialso recommend you add a forge007 recirculating valve to your shopping list just replaces the weak plastic factory standard valve! to handle the new power

if you want to go that little bit further then i sujest a milltek sports cat and downpipe (which may i add i have for sale :cheeky: ) and the milltek non resonated cat back with these mods the turbo winds up erlier and the car pulls better linked with a turbo intake pipe from forge you will be seeing 230-240bhp ;)

thanks for the advice
ive already got my eye on the forge007 recirc valve and TIP
but looks like ill be phoning up miltec for the non-res cat back!!!:D
230-240bhp is very tempting!

dnt for get the sports cat new or SECOND HAND :cheeky: much better sound with the turbo back rather than the cat back £280ish new for the cat

that make a lot of difference then??
how much more of an advantage will there be going decat over sport cat?
apart from being legal of course???

My brother got is K03s to 260bhp spent alot of money on lots of little things though and it now revs to 7400rpm which is always nice haha!!

that turbo is on overdrive and under alot of strain id imagine why has he spent so much on a ko3s why not simply upgrade?? ^^^ for sameish price and more relibility and much more power??!

ive got a de-cat and it is unreal!!!!!! but the sports cat i had on for 2months when i had my standard turbo and it made massive diffrence with the cat back aswell! turbo spooled up earlier turbo was louder and it sounded ace backfirers when giving it some beans and sounds sporty but NOT ott 1 tone saxo heaven! im selling mine for £150 anyway if your interested

bellamy i am gathering the cupra you want is a 1.8 20vt and not the tdi cupra vertion tho!

yes rashcupra, 1.8 20vt, no diesel for me theres no need for one, no long journerys to a fro work etc....petrol cupra all the way:D
no offence to the diesel lovers though!

ooohhhh very nice with the polished bbs's and the airbrushed number on the engine cover and the recarro seats  very very nice!
