You done right taking the bumper back to them. Don't accept it until it is 100% perfect!

Car looks good and love the location you took the pictures.

UPDATE:

Car went it to have to poor paint work fixed on Thursday morning, i was told it would be ready to collect Friday after work. In anticipating of getting my car back I got into work extra early to give me enough time to collect it in time.

I then got a call just as i was about to leave work saying its wasn't ready and wont be until Monday after work... great! :( I was a little pissed but if its means they'd do it properly this time then i don't mind.

Unfortunately he then went on to say it had a saw blade stuck in the rear tire and it had ****ed the tire, so i'd need a new tire. :banghead2 I cant fit the spare as its flat from a puncture i got a couple of months ago from when i found a massive nail in my tire.

I'd all ready planned on replacing the front two tires as they desperately in need of changing, so that makes three tires in need of replacing, no point in doing just three, may as well as do four wheels.

On the plus side im pretty sure i picked up the puncher at work, if i can prove it, which i'm pretty sure i can as they've kept the saw blade then i can claim it back. Even if i can claim it back it's stil going to be an expensive month.

Its my birthday in a couple of weeks so i'll have some money to spend on the car, so that should cheers me up, let just hope they do a quality job on my car!

Why not get 2 new tyres and use one of the inflated but low tread as a spare, it is only a spare after all

Because i'd still need another tyre :p ... I fitted the spare wheel the other month when i got a puncture and never got around to replacing it. i will use this as my spare and replace all the two worn tires as well as the two punctured tyres. Be nice to have four new tires over winter, i've never been keen on having odd tyres on my car.

Order 4 x Falken FK452's types today off camskill for the bargain price of £68 each. I wanted some Toyo T1-R's but they aren't in stock until the end of November. My car will remain at the crash repair garage until the tyres are fitting, hopefully this will be tomorrow, depending on when they're delivered.

Alright mate,
Top effort on the motor, it looks mint. Reading your thread here, I'm thinking of getting the same coilover package as you've put on. How do you rate the Weitecs now you've been driving it a while? How much did you lower the front and rear by in the end? She sits sweet as . .

It pains me to say this but my cars a write off, came off the road the other day in the jog and ended up in a ditch, just spoke to the crash repair centre and the repair cost were in excess of 6K.

The suffered pretty heavy frontal damage, so i kind of expected it!

Absolutely gutted, spent loads of wedge on her recently, full service, 4 x new tyres MOT etc...

It could have been worst, i could have hurt my self as well as someone else.

So the search for another LCR begins.

Basically i was driving in heavy fog and got caught out by a badly signed T junction, only doing 35MPH but when you've only got the width of B road to react and brake in, you cant scrub off much speed.

Bad luck that is, it can happen to the best of us.

Hopefully you can get a nice example.

Oh my god :(

So sorry to hear mate, the car was coming along nicely aswell. Hope you find another minter asap and can stay positive about it all.

Main thing is your ok and no one was hurt. Just such a shame when you think how well people on here look after their cars :(

Onwards and upwards anyhow, your next will be even better :)

Thanks for kind words chaps, still hasn't really sunk in yet. It's going to be hard to find one in the same condition. Need to make sure i get a good pay out for it as i want to be able to buy one of equal condition.

Cheers Willie, haven't discussed the option of buying it back. It did cross my mind though. Might be worth seeing ho much they want for it!

There are lots of pieces worth a bit of cash and easy to sell on.

- 02M 6 speed gear box easy £300

- Engine easy £700

- Front subframe, rack and hubs if undamaged £150

- Brembo front calipers £150 each

- Rear bumper £100

- Rear screen £50

- Seats £150

- inner trim, door cards, roof lining and carpet £150

- Air con display unit £50

- Steering wheel £100

- Panels and wing mirrors easy cash

There's an easy £2,000 for you and good experience ripping it apart.
You would not find it difficult to sell any of the pieces mentioned above for around the prices mentioned.
Obviously depends on how bad the front end damage is though.

But even with bad front end damage you could get £1,000 worth of its easily

Thanks for listing that all out willie, really appreciated it. Looks like there is plenty to be made from selling the parts. I'll certainly put it to them and see what they say.

Thanks again pal! :)
