I paid £6500 for mine last May/June it was an 05, silver with 48k on the clock but just serviced. Needed a new MOT that month and tax the next, then 2 new tyres and pads up front.

I think I got a bargain, just needed a little maintanance and rear bumper needs a new coat of laquer at some point but nothing noticable.

Good luck with the search

That sounds like a great price to me, you done very well there. Wouldnt mind a silver one me self. :)

Another small update, just spoke the insurance claims acessor and he's told they wont be offer my anymore money. I can contest it but it become very drawn out from here onwards. To be fair im pretty happy with the offer, i just felt there was no harm in asking for more, plus i dont want to have to wait for ages to get my funds.I have to send off all the relevant documentation to secure the funds, once this all done they'll release the money.

Unfortunately all the cars im keen on are all out of my price reach, unless they're prepaired to drop £500 of their asking price.. no harm in asking i suppose  I might start posting cars in here for discussion, i assumed im allowed to do that.

Keep your eyes open chaps for new LCR's for sale.

when I did my claim I just sent same specced R32's mate, they offered me 12k originally, but I sent others and then got 16k in the end. Could be worth it.

I would but it seem bang on the money for miles, age and year. Otherwise i'd dig my heals in, they know they've given me a good offer. They were clearly taking the piss with you. :-o

EDIT

Seen a promising looking 55 plate platinum LCR with black wheels, looks lovely. Just need to get the money so i can go in with a low offer! ;)

I think i may have found the perfect replacement car..

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2204293.htm

Look idea, will hopefully go have a look the weekend if its still available.

Im actually excited now...:funk:

Sounds like they will be really sad to see the car go aswell. It looks an absolute minter mate.

You are the ideal next owner! We can vouch for how you will look after it :)

Have you called to see if it's available?

Spoke to the seller, he seem like a nice chap, he know what he's talking about too. He's a lurker on here from chatting to him, by the sounds of it he's a keen detailer too (member of detailingworld.com).

Everything seem to add up, paper work, servicing etc... Just need to look at it really, i'm hoping i'll go look at it over the weekend.

He did say he has someone going to look at it tomorrow night so it may be too late. Only time will tell, we'll just have to wait and see. It if does go i'm sure i'll find something else.... either way the search continues.

Seems genuine, but you can never be sure until your there....

Not to worry if this one goes, what will be will be. Seems like you've got the right attitude towards it anyway, which is simply don't rush into anything.

The right one will always be out there :)

Im really not in any rush to buy one, i'll happily wait another month or two to find the right car. Anyway, the longer i wait the more money i can save up. Plus i have a fast road / track prepped E36 328 sports to drive until i find one, it would be rude to give it back too soon.[B)]

Its most likely because the car he has for sale is a right shitter so needed a decent looking one to picture to the public ;)
