owen, you should get 2 bush's.
if you have done some research on here you may be aware that you will get some slight vibration but apparently this gets better with time, grantos says that you get minium/no vibration with the uprated mount brackets and bush's together (eip kit)
I have not had this done yet but like yourself im tempted to just get the bush's and see what it is like & then maybe get the mounts @ a later date.

Right,
I have done a lot of research now, looking at the different options, and people keep refering to "vibration", what exactly does this mean?
When Idleing does it chatter the steering wheel for example?
I'm sorry for the, probably very rediculous question, but the more I look into this, the more confused I get!!! :hide:

Cheers

i've got the full EIP mount and you don't know it's there with regular driving (ie no vibrations etc). But, when you put your foot down (especially from a standing start) you get bags more traction cos the engine isn't bouncing around so much under the load.

For a £100 and 5mins to fit there is no better way to improve the stability of your car - you'll find the TCS light comes on much less than before.

managed to get my eip dogone mount after talking about this last year, I know I took my time in getting it.

Just wanted to know when fitting the dog bone mount wether the engine needs any support or can you just whip the old one off and put the new one on, job done.

a link from the eip website:

no its easy enough, make sure you take the bolts out completely or it wont come off and if you can, use the right torque settings with a wrench.

I bought the bushes from westec..and the amount of vibration was nuts..I couldnt stick it..so about 4 days later when the intercooler was being fitted..i had them chuck on the EIP mount..Its very good. Traction has been increased no end..and the car is once again perfectly smooth.

Wouldnt bother with the bushes...For £80..its not worth the hassle of the extra vibration..becomes tiresom very quickly.

Thanks for that brendy, I ended up getting the OE silver one as wanted it to look as standard as possible, just now got to get a torque wrench to get it fitted and torqued up correctly.

Was going to get just the bushes but opted to get the all in one eip mount, got a good price on it.

brendy do you know where I can get a cheapish torque wrench to fit this?

westec do the powerflex bushes and also awesomegti paul, you will have to take your old dog bone mount off then fit the new bushes on, could not be bothered with the messing about, paid a little more then £18 on my eip mount with bushes but I got it at a good price ;)
