eBay cable and software?

Did this one work ok and do you get a disc to install the software?

My cable arrived today so only a week, however it does not work with windows vista so I cannot actually use it unless anyone has any ideas?

Mine didn't work with the software that came with the cable, I downloaded fromHERE, worked on Vista, and Windows 7 just double check your cable version and download the correct one and don't try to update.

That's what mine did, I downloaded from the site I linked with the correct version and it works fine

Copy, only cost a tenner from China so gave it a chance and it worked

Sounds like either the cable is duff or the drivers for the cable haven't loaded.

From the link you posted above it looks the same as mine, the software version is on a sticker on the side.
Might be worth contacting them.

Just buy one from i.e. Gendan Automotive. They offer a good price.
Since all the software (works like a sort of dongle) is activated only by an original cable all fake ones probably will have problems.
And when you want to sell it again you always can get at least 50% of it's price back.

Too expensive for my needs. Plus the are hundreds of people who use the replicas without issue

There's ya problem for some reason it wont work on a real machine.

Tried to get it running on a really old windows xp laptop and wouldn't work, borrowed a Windows 7 machine and it wouldn't work.

Virtual XP running on Linux and it works fine
