Side Skirts

Yup thats where mine cracked where the two screws fit the skirt to the inner arch at the rear. Had a fight with SEAT but they have agreed to replace them under warranty.

The left hand one has split on mine just by the two screws at the rear. It went when the car was 3 months old. the split is about 3 - 4mm but it does seem to be getting any worse. I have not tried to get it done under waranty yet though.

Good achievement i think.

I just stick them down now but gutted when i "forgot" to last time when i put new tyres on, 5 miles later they both flew off and got run over, i was crying the middle of the road lol noooooooooo !

I got a full set under warranty.
I have used greenhouse tape to keep 'em on!, need to check them though after all the rain.

Be careful if you have a service, they take them off. Found mine loose with bits of black electricians tape hastily stuck on (or rather coming off). That was 1 week after I had carefully fitted the greenhouse tape too!

I have been through 2 passenger side ones so far. whats even funnier is the stealer said he could not find the part code because I have a K1 ?!?!?!?!

I politely told him its the bloody same as the standard Aero kit apart from the rear bumper... still waiting for a call back on a price 1 month on !

Get on the phone to David at Sere, he will be cheaper than your dealer anyway!

Can anybody post up a pic of where they have cable-tied their covers on? I have got my replacement ones but they will not stay on, I think the clips in the skirts themselves are knackered!

I am fed up of this kit, everything bloody falls off! I am on my third towing eye cover!

The rear end of my side skirts seem to have a lug just at the back end wheel arch area which looks as if it should screw in somewhere? Im sure i read somewhere that there are rubber lugs that screw into the arch of the car? Is this correct? Ive not had any since the skirts were installed and its always seemed that bit unsecure at the back end. Could anyone confirm if im talking out of my rear and if not does a part number exist?

Many thanks
D
