Formentor Infotainment Software Version

I did see somewhere on here someone had 1896 installed as a test version. Might have been @East Yorkshire Retrofits, so you might not be getting fobbed off.

Which dealer was it out of interest, as I know you are in my neck of the woods and mine is going in for the update and a couple of other bits in three weeks time.

The service manager Bill showed me the bulletin and said he will be in contact as soon as they have it. Seemed a nice fella.

On a side note if anyone in here is waiting for a car from here they got a lorry load in when I was there today.

Here's a question for you, lads and lasses... apparently my motor is en route to the UK, with an ETA of next week sometime. Will it already have the latest software version uploaded in the factory, or does the dealer update the software on arrival at their showroom? Ta.

Thanks @steviekek Hopefully I will hear from them before its due in, or if you get booked in before me you can let me know. There is a couple of other things they've got to look at as well, rattles and grinding brakes (which have been grinding since brand new), but main thing was the update as I had a stop/start and drive system error again last week which they hope the update will sort. I spoke with Vicky and she said there were major updates that have come out, but having Bill's name is good to have if he knows all about the updates.

If the update is not ready by then, I'll likely have to wait ages for another booking, as I need a courtesy car which always delays getting it in.

Looks like your car was built before the software release, so the dealership should do it upon arrival and as part of the PDI.

My V2 came into port two and half weeks ago, picked up yesterday and seems to be running the latest 1890 so assume all new cars will be updated to it?

Glad to see mate, mine arrived at the port around 2 and a half week ago as well. Also noticed the hardware on your is now H58 rather than H56 in previous Formentors. I wonder if this means they also have the new Samsung chips within them. Getting mine delivered next Tuesday

Maybe it does, have to say there is little to no lag on the system, everything seems very quick. Also the wireless android auto is amazing!

Haven't checked yet, will be today sometimeI

Dealer showed me the TPI on Monday but wouldn't let me take a note of it. I was in for the 1890 that was supposedly pulled, I am still on 1803

I can confirm that is has now been released again but a newer software update so it was supposed be going to 1890 but the new release will be going to 1896.


So, your still good to head down for 10am.

Billy confirmed they have the 1896 and has me in for next Wednesday morning for the update; no courtesy car available so its a waiting appointment but I don't mind as just want this update done.

Mine is a waiting appointment I've been quoted 3 hours, sitting here twiddling my thumbs. Just hoping it sorts the issues and I will be happy.

It's like night and day!.

The performance boost I would say is over 50%.
Very little lag from pressing a button to the screen opening.
It's pretty much instant now, the start up performance has improved loads and allows full use around 3-4 seconds after starting the ignition whereas before it would be lag city.

ACC worked flawlessly on a route where it would normally mess around.

No kmh to mph changes no issues with over taking and vehicles being inside or outside lanes.

The cupra app on the phone connects to the car quicker and sends the commands alot faster.

So far so good.

The install process took 1 hour 30 minutes. I was there for 3 hours as I had to wait for them to download 1896 from the server as it was only launched this morning.
