Hi - Yes you can and that exactly the reason why I wanted Alex. Its a faff to set up the hotspot each time you get in the car and you then need to open the alexa app but once that's done it works really well

There are some apps you can use that will turn on the hotspot automatically once it detects the cars Bluetooth.

Have you ever found one (Android) that works though? I've been through a few and none have for me unfortunately

Strange, that's the first I tried. It seemed to work once but then when it disconnected it would never reconnect again.
No biggie really, I'm in the habit of just flicking the hotspot on now (it disconnects automatically)

The service manager called me up and stated its an internal recall to fix some of this issues.
Takes a whole day to implement the updates apparently.
ACC MPH changing to KPH and accelerating randomly.
Erratic speed changes.
Crashes and stuttering to infotainment and random resets to profiles.
Hybrid - while charging the headlights and rear lights randomly turn on and off freaked me out the first time thought someone was trying to steal it! Just hope no one was awake as I ran out in my boxers

I had the control unit update performed at the dealer today 6069 -> 6078. They kept the infotainment software at 1790, not 1803 or 1804… don’t know why.

Has anybody received their car very recently and checked which software version is installed? My car's in the UK now but it would be nice to know which version to expect when I finally get my hands on it. Hoping for 1810 but expecting 1804.
my car was delivered September. July build has 1804,,,a bit glitchy tbh,never new 1810 was available.
Some of the other marques in the VW group are beginning to be fitted with 1810, but I haven't heard of any from Cupra as yet. I was just hoping that somebody may have had good news.
ok I understand, but no cupra (formentor) has this firmware to date according to my information. unless proven otherwise
