I would have thought that your car, being a later Cupra model would have a revised ARB with metal bush retainers. I've never heard of the metal retainers failing.

My cars original ARB had plastic bush retainers which are prone to cracking. I had a clunk from my drivers front side and it was the ARB hitting part of the subframe. Once I had changed it to a revised ARB the clunking disapeared.

Well just a quick update, put the car on axle stands last night and checked everything over to find absolutly nothing wrong?
There was no play on anywhere checked the droplinks, ARB, track rods, suspension strut for sideways movement incase its the top mount bearings, all solid. all bushes etc look fine?
Really bugging me now.
In response to altech's post, the car is 2005 model, so would this have the revised ARB?
Once again cheers for all your help on this guys, any suggestions are more than welcome!
