Full throttle - glow plug light flashes breifly - no power

Hi

I've done a search on glow plug and the problems seem to be with the light coming on and flashing, mines not doing that exactly.

With mine, if I put the engine under heavy load the car stops accelerating (but maintains current speed) and the glow plug light flashes very briefly and then goes off.

It started yesterday when I stalled the car in a junction and turned it on again quickly, probably not waiting for the glow plug light to go off..... could this have knackered the plug?

Typically, the car has just run out of warrantee

Mine did this on the way to work once under full throttle in 3rd, took it to SEAT and the MAF was faulty, swapped over and all is well

I'm not taking the car to a seat dealer as the logisitcs won't allow it, and the car is out of warantee so I'll tip the garage off that it could be the MAF.

Its a unit between the air box and the turbo. It measures the Air Flow, and sends signals to the ECU

If its faulty, car will run like a dog
