Will getting the dog bone bushes changed make as much of a difference as getting the ths kit or is it a waste of money if the superpro kit have them included?

I'd check which dogbone bushes come in the Superpro kit. Think the dogbone mount has three bushes in total (maybe only two), you'd ideally want to replace all the ones in your dogbone. Or, you could buy a whole new dogbone mount (ECS, THS etc.) and just swap it over - the end result will be the same but it's less hassle than removing the old bushes and pressing in the new ones.

Hey mate good to see another kent lad.

Just had a load of work done on my mk 1 today at amd.

I work tonbridge and live ditton. I'm mates with DmcG with his mk2.

Hey dmcg said you were going. I think I saw your motor, looked in great condition, however there was one other black mk1 there today.

I had the bush kit and some ap coilovers fitted. Haven't really tested them as I was with my pregnant friend and thought it not best to try. Plus I'm running without an undertray as part of mine is broken and the roads are **** around us. I work in t wells and most of the roads in are uneven so don't really want to fork out for a new sump.need to test which roads I will ground out on. Had it dropped by 25mm. What's yours sitting at?

Yeah mine was the one with the D10 plate. There was a 52 plate mk1 in black there also.

Was a long day but well worth the wait to be fair.

The drop must be around 30mm. Not too low to be unusable and fills the arches nicely. Feels slot tighter and responsive and turns in alot more confidently.

Had a bit of a play on the way home but didn't go silly. Want it all to settle in.

Very impressed with the power and torque figures we got though.

From the drive home I could feels vast improvement. However as it is a lot tighter I can hear the dash rattle I have a lot more and is doing my nut plus my key battery has packed up, is it a simple replacement?

I hate rattles that must drive you mad. I have not had to ever replace a remote battery so have no idea sorry. I did have an awesome play last night in mine and with the drop think I may need anti roll bars. Splitter touches in the corners on the road under heavy cornering lol.

The battery was a straight forward swap, £3.90 from stealers and £2.45 from lenco.... I went to lenco! How low did you go? I haven't been out again yet as they had to take the undertray off but I have ordered the broken bit and will be getting fitted sat morning. Does it dig in at the front when cornering?

It went really well yeah. The handling and power are awesome. Does not dig in but it does touch down on the corners but only under hard cornering.

Maybe bushes and anti roll bars will sort that though.

Great stuff! Got the undertray fitted and whilst I was under took a few pics

I think the arb's are another job that will need doing but first the paint work and then spacers. Do the wheels need realigning once fitted spacers?

A few more pics.

She is looking really good mate. Great job on the steering wheel. Makes the world of difference.

Not sure about the affect of spacers on handling. One would assume it would make the handling heavier all be it slight and turn in slower due to the wider wheel base?

Gave the car a well deserved clean yesterday.
