well just looking back on this, It's been a long time since I last updated it. A lot of progress has been made now so heres a wee update.

Picked up my front R32 seats off a mate for a bargain £80. Every set I see for sale, go for at least £1000. Had fiesta runners welded to the bottom, so I soon had that sorted and got the Golf runners back on.

Well, due to having that day off, I decided to move the front number plate (Now back where it began lol) Gave the car a general tidyup and a quick polish. Drew up my list of things left to do:

Along came the beginning of Feb and I ran up my list of To-Do's:

1.Need Mk4 Golf Anniversary door seals as mine are beige on inside
2.Same for seatbelts, Require black seatbelts (Rears now done)
3.Rear leather seats have to be sourced, possibly a retrim job
4.Coilovers are a definate must get
5.Wheels to be refurbed (Now getting done in next couple of weeks)
6.Possible black front badgeless grill
7.Tailgate handle smoothed out
8.Maybe change the rear lights
9.More Power! 1.8 20v Turbo conversion possible in summer.

Anyways, heres how it stood that day

Interior was a bargain, im wanting some r32's or s3 seats

was delighted with the interior. The boy I bought them from had no idea the price they sold at. He said £100 takes them but I offered £80 and he said fine. Worked my magic with the subframes and wired up the heated elements to the proper dash switches. Job done. Holding out for rear leathers but may go down the road of having a retrim

Looks far better with the reg plate back to where it should be.
Theres not much space to get a good flow to a FMIC when you do your turbo install.
The front wheels stick out a little bit too much for me.
Apart from that a very nice car.

nice pics by the water, wish i had scenery round here like that :)

love the headlining too, i'm ripping all my upper trim out soon and was gonna trim paint it all but must admit that looks a lot sweeter in suede

very nice mate but i would put black alloys on just to keep the black n gold theme going.

just a taster for you Jamie. Not the nicest alloys out there but they give a rough idea. I'm still not too sure on black

Thanks bud, I can worry about the intercooler nearer the time lol. No doubt it will be the only thing that will hold me back from everything.

I think having the wheels just poking out slightly makes it look chunkier to go with the same line as the kit.

Definately do a fabric retrim rather than a dye/paint. I painted the trim pillars and wish i hadn't even went close to them. Look terrible. Just holding out for some proper black trims.

Didn't know you could take photos like that! What beach was that?

The golf is really looking great mate!

cheers stuart. I'm a dab hand at photography you know lol only kidding was a pro photographer that took them. The car is having a photoshoot done in a few weeks once I get the coilovers and wheels done.

That my friend though is irvine beach park believe it or not. Pics were taken on the pier. Had to shift a few people out the way first right enough lol
