Yes but i told you you did in post number 2 :p

Chances are you have 35w ballasts, will say on the ballast so just buy 35w H1 bulbs for the hid kit.

My angel eyes take H1 in both.
Can it be polished out try and get a picture up.

Had already bought them by then tho. Obviously didnt do enough research and rush bought them

yeah ive got 35w so i'll have a look for some bulbs out there.

Its on the inside of the unit so would mean stripping it all down plus i cant see it being able to polish out to be honest. If removing the headlights wasnt such a big job i'd give it a try.

OP sorry to highjack your topic but Im thinking of getting a set of projectors for my own car and fitting hids also. what is the best oem looking set to go for?? I think fk dont have any of the black standard ones left in stock..I dont really want angel eyes but the only projectors I can see on ebay are angel eyes! I know I dont have to wire them up... but would prefer if they were just projectors.. also will these come with a place for fitting a standard park bulb or do they use the rings for this??
What are the best temp bulbs to go for the projectors?? 4300k?? I have a set of these in my high beams in the standard lights and was thinking of fitting these to the projectors and getting some 6000k for the headlights then?? I dont want a blue look just white. i have 55w h7 in my dipped beams at the moment and these are just like really bright standard lights when they warm up. the 35w kit in the high beam is a little more white/blue... one of the 55w ballests broke off its mount and fell off and its just as cheap to buy a new 35w kit as it is to replace the ballast....
sorry for all the questions..

You will only get projectors with angel eyes for the Leon AFAIK.
My high beam has a hole for a sidelight bulb.
I use 55w H1 4300k in them and they are immense, pics in my sig :)

No fell apart when the the clips are removed, the gasket holds the front reflector bit in so a trim of the gasket is needed to remove it, very simple to see when you have it in front of you.

sound. you posted a link somewhere to another member selling his projector kit (yellow lcr i think) and it said he had them hooked up to a relay and i gather it was ment to make the lights come on at full brightness when they were switched on... do you know anything about this or have i picked it up all wrong?

Philc it was

The relays just take the power fro the ballasts from the battery and use the 12v from the original light wire as a trigger for the relay.

Yeah helps stop the inference (if you get it) and also takes the power straight from the battery rather than the cars system.
loom is only around £7 delivered of ebay.

I built my own projector lamps, (the ones for sale have gone) i have them for both main and dipped both with hids, i used the original head lights split them, painted the chrome bits black fitted the projector kits after painting them black too and taking one set of angel eyes out, the dipped have a nice trick as well, when they are put on main beam a little flap is raised at the top of the lense making them brighter:D
Here are afew pics,

Yep one for each head light, fitting is easy taking the lights apart huge PITA getting the sealant soft enough to split the lense from the body is the issue, but worth it.
