I'm not sure what other route you could take with the piping apart from a different material. I would stick with OEM to be honest.

Although, not reall sure what that pipe is for? Any idea?

Longman, I replaced the crimp clamps with jubilie clips, but had to lever the crimped part open to allow removal of the hose.

Wilksy, I started a thread in the Forge section on here, if you want to pursue non eom, it may be worth continuing that thread, bit I bought a new one from the dealers.

Just noticed a further answer, from Forge saying it woould be difficult to stretch a 14mm ID hose to 19mm ID to achieve the two different sizes. Maybe OEM is the best solution.

So far mine is behaving really well, plenty of power when I want it, no hesitating and if driven very gently I can achieve 40mpg on the mfa.

yeah nice 1! had a look and also looked at forges website and found the only
way to achieve this is to strip the engine of the monifold and hoses in this area and use reduders alloy hose joiners which may just make it messy so might just buy the oem pipe for below the manifold and get a silicone hose for the tip area as i'll be buying a tip anyway along with a new dv

Well mine has started hesitating again.

Not had a chance to look under the bonnet yet, but I'm getting really fed up with it now. Since I bought the car its been one issue after another.

I want my good old 16v Corrado back, it was so much more reliable than this 1.8t rubbish.

i think i need to give a few more runs to be certain but it does seem to e less surgey and hasnt cut back yet but i do have the intention of changing the dv to a split r valve and trying out the n75 j valve and see what i get then.

I have had boost problems ever since fitting my split r last weekend.
It has been running fine all week but yesterday in the middle of a good run the boost deserted me.
Back to normal today,had no problems before i fitted the split r.

in the same boat too phil!!since my remap the cars been a bit of a shi**er even winds you up when your not in it too!!!

mine needs another look aswell despite changing the breather hose that connects to the cam cover aswell. had a slight drop last night so im still baffeled as to what is causing the problems, although i dont want to i may have to get the waste gate looked at to see if this is the faulty part.

May be tempting fait but mine is still going fine since I re-clamped "that pipe", cleaned all round it so it sealed properly and cleaned out the throttle body.

I reset the TB too. Since then, I have done some logging and have created a good power curve and perfect boost readings. (sorry to glote)

Just didn't want you to spend money on a new Waistgate when we had the same problems and mine is ok.

Have you tried changing back your N75 to the original one? I have heard that they could give problems.

No sign of leaks on mine, I changed the clip on the hose to the FPR which seemed a little loose, also adjusted the position of the vaccum hose to the DV as this is a tight fit on my Forge.

Chriswilks, what map did you have? Mines revo on the 95 octane setup.

hi guys should have a bit time on my hands now as im taking paternity leave,
just had a lovely baby girl this morning. i had a look at the other thread and it was mentioned about spark plug gaps, has anyone had their car serviced recently? im gonna have mine serviced next month so i wont bother looking instead ill be ruling other parts out first. so once i get a chance ill start takin my engine bay apart and have a look at some areas we havent investigated due to time constraints. also what mods have people done? i got carbon air box and exhaust along with n75 j [and yes i reverted back with no difference] the exhaust is 2.5" to 3" with 100 cell cat for extra flow which has improved performance but no change with the hesitation/cut boost.

mines back in the garage for the last time i hope.my mods are k&n 57i, blue flame tb exhaust, forge 007 dv,response turbo+ remap.yeah i know(WHO?)ive been brave!!!! and come wednesday ive told them if its not right to put car back to std settings however if its right i will be made up(SO THEY TELL ME!!!!)

cheers longman! so we are at different mod stages therefor those are not to blame, apart from dv and remap i have the same type of mods as chriswilks although my induction is different , but still longman you only have a dv.

Yes mate. I definitely think that this problem is related to the trottle Body.

Have that off and give it a clean out with WD40, or Carb cleaner ideally, Then use VAG-COM to reset the Throttle Body alignment. Or alternatively, there is info on here to tell you how to do it by disconnecting the battery etc if you search.

Then..... If its still doing it...Got to be one of those pipes mate....

If that doesn't work. have a look at the pipework

Congratulations Wilksy.

Mine is totaly standard except for Revo stage 1 and Forge DV. The problem is the same with my old Bosch DV which does not leak, and the Forge DV which also does not leak.

I did 300 miles on Sunday in it travelling to Thruxton to watch truck racing, and it seems a bit better now.

By the way if any of you like motor racing I highly recommend truck racing, it is far more exciting than most motorsports I've seen.

If yours is better after a good run. That would explain why cleaning out my TB from grime worked. I think the oiley deposits are caused by sitting in traffic and slow driving at low revs.

Yep, although I did remove thoroughly clean, refit and align the throttle body a few months ago.

I'll disconnect the battery and do the throttle body again over the next few days. Might check the plug gaps too, although they are not old and the gaps were fine when they went in.

havent read the thread again but has anyone wondered about the lambor sensor? front one to be procise as my car has reaaly started running bad and according to the computer at seat its to do with lambor sensor not working.
although i disconnected it and plugged it back and then the battery and have no bad running since[two days],havent got seat to turn the light out again though

I disconnected and re-connected the lambda sensors, it runs better for it.

Also I disconnected and re-connected the coilpacks which helped.

The hesitation is still there a little, but far less noticable since fitting a Powerflex dogbone mount. I'd say this has made it about 80% better. I'm still considering trying a set of plugs one range cooler as mine is re-mapped.

Disappointed . New cupra 180 owner here. Just drove the car for the first time today and it has this exact issue. I have a mechanical background so am going to have to start looking into this. Apart from that she's lovely. Disappointed my step dad didn't notice the hesitation on the test drive .
