Whats to stop the Jetex doing the same?

So the IHI needs a new exhaust every year does it? ;)

Yep.. consider it a consummable. :D
RED hot gas has to go somewhere.

Jetex will also die.. guaranteed. Will see how long it takes.

This is on my car mind you, and its getting a beating like not many other cars receive (on track, RR days etc)

Test bed.

What happens if you just leave it, and don't replace or repack it? Does it just get louder?

Mine sounds hollow and yes it gets more boomy.
Nasty sound IMHO

So is this no IHI conversions at all, for Leon or Ibiza?

Makes my question about if it's worth IHI'ing my Leon redundant I guess...

Pete

Golf based cars should'nt be a problem.. Ibiza's are the troublesome ones for DP etc...

They are selling kits.

Are they selling kits? Last time I spoke to them thay said they wanted to do the Ibiza kits first before any other car!

Still no news then? I'm in the US ATM and was kinda hoping that it would be ready by the time I get back. :(

Yes selling kits.... as in 3rd parties coming and buying kits.
Like AmD for example recently.

Ibiza is the odd one. DP and the fiasco with Blue Flame.

Does that mean I can buy the full Ibiza kit minus the downpipe right now? **** it, I'll drive around with no downpipe for a couple of months! :D

All i have heard from Elton is that at the moment if you already have a Jabba remap u will still have to pay £475 for the IHI remap. He said you may get a small discount off the £475. But he a nd Mike are still discussing about the final costing to current Jabbachip users.

Hmmm. They definately told me £90 for a remap for people that already have a Jabba map. Still, makes no difference to me as I don't already have a Jabba map.

I've been promised a call before the end of August with a fitting date in September. Fingers crossed. I'll be very excited once the call happens! :)
