Did Curborough again yesterday and bettered my last time by 0.4 of a second, not a great improvement but I really enjoyed myself. Major understeer and cack turn in is still the ibizas biggest downfall on a tight track.......or my poor driving

Hopefully get a few proper ones in this year, need to find a novice friendly track with some tuition for my first outing. I really didnt want to use the mk4 on track again but had no option......still barrels of fun :)

Update!

The filthy one let me down this morning for the first time in my ownership, it appears the battery has finally kicked the bucket. Testiment to how well Ed looked after it before me really. This month is service and MOT time and then im going to consider sticking it up for sale :( .....still can't think of a decent replacement though.

Passed MOT yesterday. No problems at all, just a little split in a washer pipe which the inspector fixed and he also cleaned my rear number plate :)

Might be for sale at the end of Feb, thinking of buying my dads late spec mk2 mr2 for a laugh. Similar to this one...

You can only keep a car so long, its a cracking motor but I fancy a change before I need to become sensible.

I love the mx5's and have the option to buy my missus's which is a good un, problem is I have to roll out of it and I don't think I could handle the lack of leg room as a daily......small steering wheel might help?

If I don't like the mr2 im sure I could get back what I payed for it. Its a good price and its had all the big jobs done recently, clutch, cam belt, rad, full brakes. 180bhp and 8k rpm :)

That's exactly it! I've had mine over 3 years now, spent a fortune but I know the car inside out. It's time for a change. And I feel exactly the same. I'm 21 now, it's not gonna be long before I want to start settling down, buying houses, starting families, hence why I want an R32 Golf. Something mental before the boring stuff begins.

The plug was fine and came out easy enough......but it brought the thread from the sump with it :(

I'm thinking sump off and and re-tap the hole for a bigger sump plug?
