Gloss black is boring now as so many people have done it. Navy blue with a bit of flake it in would look cool. Or how about the colour of your Mk2? A sort of Burple colour?

After all the preaching I've done about mental colours I think I'm just gonna go tame, thats why I liked the idea of the navy blue. Still would like a red colour but the sensible in me says no :(

Just a little update....

As I've now moved up the road to Telford the miles a piling on :(

Due to hit 120k soon with a big service called for, doing the usual items myself along with a suspension change, inclusive of top mounts all round. I'll bump it off to someone else to do the cambelt as im not totally sure its a good idea to tackle?

The wheels are now in a right state, I'm on the hunt for a set of 16's to get me through the winter so I can refurb these......I fancy a bit of tyre to tackle the impending pot holes aswell

Cleaned the rear callipers this weekend as one decided it didn't want to work, these must be the cackest callipers ever!

Also, I changed the rear beam bushes over a couple of months back to some Superpro items as the rear end decided it would like to wiggle abit. Real good replacement over standard. The main benefit of them is their ease of fittment, they come in 2 pieces so no need for pressing in, both replanced insitu. Big thanks to Fl@pper at e-parts, fantastic price and delivery time.

Hope that's interesting to someone

Cheers, I'll have to take a pic so folk can see the state of them.

Damien, I have to do them every year! Pads get fussed onto the shims usually, could do with stripping them down to bare and repainting ideally. I'll add that to the list

Liking the car. Do you have any more vids of the car from the outside? Those links a few pages back asked for a password on Photobucket to see them :S Also, what are your engine/exhaust etc mods? Cheers

Cheer guys.

Try this for the vid, strange how the old ones don't work.

I've just got the usual, remap, Forge FMIC, de-muffled exhaust. Would like to go big turbo but don't have the monies.

I gave it a service the other week using my new Pela oil extractor, so easy and not a spot of oil on my drive.

Also gave it a good 'wesh' last week, clayed it, busted the DA out and gave it a coat of Meguiars #16. Not totally corrected the paint but its looking much better.

Still on the hunt for some 16's but not having much luck.....me and ebay don't get on!

Also, also, considering selling it again. Maybe for an Arosa TDi :hide:

Not good, I was only changing the top mounts........which are goosed aswell.

So now I need some new kit, think I might just go for the JOM coilovers and run them at a sensible height. Hopefully it will help the mental tyre wear Im suffering with.

Edit: Just ordered the JOM's from DPM
