Right so me and Danny have been trying to get a bit further with the boost issue on his car tonight, due to me and Mike getting are wires crossed on the removal of the N249 and N112 and what to do with the SAI intake it was done wrong the first time, so blocked off the SAI intake and unplugged the plug from the pump till Danny can get the blanking plate sorted so we can remove it properly, this made no difference at all

Then noticed a split vac line from the N75 to the charge pipe, changed this, again made no difference at all

Then tried to swopping my N75 with his to see if that changed anything, nothing at all!

So decided to try adjusting the actuator slightly to see if this had been adjusted in the past and was just wound in to far, but made no difference

Danny also wanted me to mention that the cars making a 'wooh' sound, its quite high pitched and happens when he lets off the accelerator, just curious as to what this is, as its a strange sound and never heard it before

Tomorrow when we have some light were gunna try and get some stuff checked, like looking at all the vac lines and intercooler to see if theres any leaks, any other ideas as to what we can try or swop with mine to see if theres a problem?

Any help would be great
Cheers

Thanks chris..

Yeah that wooh sound is like the turbo spooling up...ive got a metal tip so is it echoing inside? It sounds really good tho...
Once we did all that i came home and after a few booting sessions it went in to 5psi limp mode...So its gotta be a boost leak.

edit:
i just had a thought when i had my k03 fitted at 3krpm it used to hit 21psi on then instanly hold 10psi....You could just see the nipple on the gauge just drop so at 3.5krpm it was at 10psi...

So do you reckon its a boost leak then? as its hitting 15psi and holding 10psi and it sometimes holds 15psi..

No need to unplug the SAI pump when doing removing the n249 and n112. Just block off the vac line. You need to go over all the pipes for a leak and get a new front lambda to see if that helps things.

I wouldnt worry about the wooh sound your getting. You gota remember that everytime you touch anything big boost related its going to change the sound of the dump ect...

Id be checking for a boost leak now tbh

so its the pre cat lambda sensor that i need and i can get it from ecp and that will also help my mpg also. when i get back from hospital il check everything over take it all apart bit by bit 2 defo check it all how mua hot mu2h is a lambdap

tonight i changed the a few vac pipes as i had 2 joins in them and checked all the other pipes off and all seem fine...
Im getting around 18mpg on my computer now...So does the pre-cat lambda sort the fueling out as am gonna buy one from ecp..

Also ive got a resistor left and just bought the blanking plate for the egr valve....

Yesterday we logged Danny's car, we did a log of 114 as i know its to do with actual boost vs requested boost, not sure if anyone can look at this and see if it looks right or if anything seems to stick out.
We did try my dumpvalve just to rule that out but it was still the same, we did at maf reading as which was hiting 172 which seems a good figure considering it was only 5.5k rpm.
Doesn't seem to be any boost leaks, but would it be best to get it smoked tested so this can be ruled out 100%
Could be the map though as it hasn't been mapped for this turbo (still on Jabba stage one)
Danny also wants to know if running 95 ron petrol would affect it, as thats what hes using at the min

Can anyone help with that log on chris post....Am gonna check all the FMIC pipes 2morro or later on 2night...

heres log of 115 and everything we did before still same now really.

Right we got Danny's car running finally tonight! But mani is blowing slightly but not bad, but going to change gaskets anyway. But hes only getting 13psi max boost did couple of quick logs to see if can see anything wrong but they all look fine to me, seems as though its running properly. Just want to see what you think.

I think its due to the leak in mani gasket, but what you think, here are the logs. Know there not good ones but just quick to see whats going on.

Ok will do them 2morro wen i go up curzons..

Today i bought all new vac hoses...So there was no Joins ect in the system and 2night when i was driving it that wooh sound is really loud...Louder than it was before...Its like a like a Pigeon and defo coming fron the turbo as it only happens if i parly rev it then let go then same again...Il try and get a vid of the sound...

Part of me is thinking my Tip isnt on correctly if this wasnt on right and sucking air in past the maf As in near my 90degree elbow on my ATP would that cause my boost issue...

but look more in to it once daylight is here...

If i hammer it in 1st 2nd 3rd it hits 15psi and holds at 10psi and if am plodding along in 4th or 5th and put Do WOT if hits 19psi on the gauge and holds at 15psi..
