i wouldn't bother buying electrical component cleaner, as james has said get it replaced i think dealerships do a trade in service for the genuine bosch ones :) i wouldnt recommend getting a cheap item as these don't usually last

I tried cleaning mine, first time I used carb cleaner and to be honest it did the trick. Sorted the issue I had at the time. (Power was a bit low)

Had the same thing again so tried cleaning it in the same way and it now appears to have **** itself.

If I were you I'd try cleaning it yourself first, nothing to lose really :)

came with that fault cuz you drove with it disconnected, then plugged it back in, thats why theres a fault... thinks theres a low signal fault..

How do I get it back to normal then. Surely once you plug it back in it should pick up the signal again.
It was hesitating before I unplugged it. That's why I unplugged it to see if it was any better. And it was.

what he/she is getting at is that it has logged the fault so the fault will need clearing even if a new maf was fitted.

he/she isnt doubting you need a new maf :)

Sorry of it came across funny wasn't intentional.
After I plugged the mag back in and drove it for a while the elm light came in so I plugged the fault code reader in and it came up that the mass air flow sensor was low signal so I cleared the fault but the eml light is still on with that fault code so guess I will try cleaning it first if no joy I will get a new one.

Thanks for all the replys
