MAF or Something Else?

I think Cupra R's boost to 10 psi as standard. Dan hasn't got a boost gauge to confirm this but it wouldn't surprise me if his boost was exactly the same as yours.

Don't want to point the finger at P-Torque but this is quite a coincidence.

If you read the thread, Dan felt much more aggressive power after the re-map showing a big difference from how it was running standard.

If he felt a big difference, and only acheived 179bhp, then it looks like an underlying problem.

The re-map is requesting 1.1 bar (17psi) @2240rpm constant, but is acheiving much much lower.

Do you know why it dips, mid range and goes back up again or are the figures negligable?

I need to replace the original 90 degree intercooler hose as it's squashing a little but with those logged intake temps I can't see that being the problem. I can't hear any boost leaks anywhere.

OK, just logged blocks 002 and 020...
020 had just '0' and nothing else in all 4 columns so I'm guessing that's all fine.

002 had similar load readings as before maxing out at 139.8% at 5120rpm.

The injection on time? reading went
9.84 @ 1800rpm
17.63 @ 5120rpm
17.22 @ 5760rpm then starting dropping back slightly at 6280rpm. I don't know what this means by the way.

MAF readings were:
101.03 @ 3960rpm
120.5 @ 4680rpm
135.97 @ 5440rpm
141.11 @ 5920rpm
145.11 @ 6520rpm

maf sounds fine t7odd, maybe a tad low but nothing devastating

you boost is all over the place...i would say you have a leak?

the n75 duty is low but this could be due to a leak, a characteristic of the map or it could be buggered

quite surprised your car has been mapped in a way it requests over 1bar(14.5psi) at 6k.. that's quite high, dont even think k03s users meet that

Carl its more, its asking for 16psi @ 6480? Remind me again, is this a k03s?

Your gettin waaaayyyy lower than requested yet your WG duty is about right.

Pointing at MAP or N75 i reckon.

No, it's a K03.
Maybe Will got confused as Dan's has a K03s being the 'R' but mine is the standard Cupra. Surely it will just drop off if it can't meet the request.
Could the MAF figures be lower than hoped because of the 'just above standard' boost or do I need to inspect my Dynatwist? Thanks. I might end up taking it to a garage to check for leaks as I can't find any. It would be handy if I could try another N75 though too.

No he said I would need to do some checks. My missus is picking me up vagcom for xmas so it will have to wait till then.

Damn, there must be someone around near you with it who could help you out since you're quite central, try posting in the VAG-COM section of the forum. It could be a lambda sensor but it's strange you have no engine check light on. My check light came on when I had a vacuum leak but hasn't come on this time. I'm taking mine to a free rolling road run offered to me on the 16th where they print a graph showing power, torque, fuelling and boost so I'll post up the results whether I get fixed in the meantime or not.

thing is your maf figures arent that low, they are 20or so g/s lower than what my car produces but then your car doesnt request the same boost which will be due to the map.

its been mapped in such a way that it keeps constant pressure as opposed to revo for example which gives huge spike but then backs off towards the top end

BUT i fear something is dodgy there...no disrespect to P-Torque.co.uk, but those are pretty high request values for the little K03 to cope with, and the WG will be pegged to meet alot less than that id imagine. not sure what consequences there lay but im sure there will be some.

Congratulations Sharky. I wish mine was that simple.
I had a good look over all the vacuum hoses i changed and put the standard diverter valve back on whilst I also tried resetting the ecu by removing the battery terminal and guess what.... wait for it.... it's still the same
Did some more logging last night and MAF is consistent with previous run so it isn't that. No fault codes though for anything which is odd, not even negative boost deviation! I can't safely get under my car at home but I felt the OE rubber intercooler pipe and it did feel rather squished up so I'm going to order a 90 degree bend to finish the job and take it into a garage who knows a lot about turbos and let them look for a boost leak. It's just so odd that the boost is the same, so consistent everytime - would this be so with a leak?
