If you can make your cat-back last a bit longer, i'd recommened doing the DP and Cat first as adding a cat-back is going to give you no benefit over stock, maybe not even much more noise.

Thanks :). I try to be as informative as possible but it's been quiet recently due to a shortage of uprated bushes so i've had to postpone the lowering.

I'll get out there in a bit and get a pic of the slight rusting/crack. I only had a brief look while my new sump was being fitted couple of weeks back, but it'll need doing eventually.

Might have to try the DP & Cat then if I can get another 6 months from the cat-back at least really. Can you get a Blueflame cat-back onto the PipeWerx Dp & cat arrangement straight on? Prefer the BF tailpipe over the milltek.

I'm going lower with mine soon at AMD, prob after my holiday. Looking at the Weitec's, but want AMD to check out all the bushes 1st to see if any need replacing before they get fitted. Just had the dogbone done. New top mounts will be essential when getting coilovers done do you think?

Any brand cat-back will go onto a PipeWerx DP/Cat setup although there is some question about the Milltek. However I will be going custom (so I can pick a tailpipe that looks like OE) so that doesn't really bother me :).

Top mounts and bearings are more a precautionary measure, they're likely to go at some point so while you have the struts off, it's worth while doing the job and saving some time/cost. Replacing lower arm bushes is again a precaution but I am doing mine because they're worn, thanks to our lovely winter.

If you're ever in my area (Reigate) and want to check out my current exhaust setup/have a quick spin, you're more than welcome.

Ah cool, I think I'll go for the Blueflame cat-back eventually. PipeWerx are getting the good reviews on here and you seem v.happy with yours so may do that 1st and out the way. Only custom place round here is Powerflow(5 min drive), but it'd work out about £400 for custom cat-back there. Might be cheaper to buy one like a BF, for me possibly...

Cheers for the advice. Going to get AMD's opinion on all mounts/bushes definitely before we talk about coilovers! Incase more need doing than originally planned...

Nice one. Dunno when I'll be down that way, I'm Orpington/Bromley based most of the time, but with the weather getting better, going to try get the LCR out for some good runs soon. Don't suppose your going to the London meet on the 18th are you? I think it's the 18th..

DK has offered me a spin in his LCR for a Milltek run, so a PipeWerx comparison run would be brill!

PipeWerx & Blueflame systems are essentially identical so it doesn't matter which brand you choose, they'll perform the same. Check out Monster Motorsport on here, they are offering 12% off all BlueFlame systems permanently. That quote by Powerflow is very steep, mind you it doesn't suprise me and from personal experience, I would never use them for anything, even 'free' advice or knowledge, they're useless.

I plan to attend the London meet but it's on the 17th (Saturday). If it's raining though, in true JamJay tradition, I won't turn up :D.

Oh I see, whichever's cheaper then! that'll do me! I'll have a look into monster motorsport now as I've heard of them but didn't know of a 12% blueflame discount. very handy :funk:

Yup, I had a Powerflow system on a pug 206 back in the day, sounded bit pants really and the tip rusted which I thought they we're bomb-proof [:@]

Lol.. I will prob bail out if it chucks it down aswell. But if it's like it is today, I'll be there and wouldn't mind a spin in some LCR's with the windows down for exhaust purposes!
