am i right in thinking that the later 2L 16v enbgines have a gearbox thatll bolt straight onto the 1.8T lump... in which case is it in lehmans terms, a case of swapping the engine only and then everything atached to the gearbox can stay in?
somewhere im sure ive read that the 1.8Turbo fits onto the 16v gearbox all be it 5 speed and you can use that, and then just attatch everything from the 1.8T bar anything from the gearbox on.
hope i make sense and i hope im right, cos i was hoping to do the same
