Im expecting the mani to be in 2 pieces lol the crack is that big and deep

I had my standard manifold ported when i went hybrid felt a nice increase in power aswell. Thats one thing i dont miss about the 1.8t's is swapping a manifold

Had the car in a million bits today doing the manifold

downpipe, exhaust, turbo etc etc all removed

Gone well so far with only one minor hicup
Refitted the turbo back on and dropped a screw driver bit into the top of the turbo

After taking it off again i got it out lol but wasted alot of time

Everythings back on leaving just the centre pipe and backbox to fit tomorrow, then oil, coolant and done!

Looking good mate when you put the turbo on how do you go about getting oil in the turbo before start up its just ill be fitting my hybrid soon

When you first start the car hold revs at about 1500 to circulate the oil. It will only run with no oil for a matter of seconds if that.

As above mate, i also disconnect coilpacks and crank it a few times before i start it normally

Manifold does look nice joe, alot better than my old one lol

You do realise the manifold can be removed without removing the turbo etc?

Bet your legs and back were hurting after this, really is a pain, uprated ones are a nightmare.

Yep but it would have probably took just as long tbh, those nuts along the bottom looked a pig to remove!

Done the turbo a good few times now so it was off in no time

Body is hurting now though yer! Really isnt a pleasant job lol

Picked up a steering wheel boss kit off ebay for a grand total of £5

Also came with a plug which has been modified to stop the airbag light coming on

can you put a pic up berg of the airbag plug having problems with my porka momo wheel bought a resistor wire but does not work

Im pretty sure you can turn the airbags off with vagcom

The fuse thing has "2" on it if thats any use to you
