Hey, new here.

I am in the process of ordering a 5dr Manual Cupra 300.. I just wondered how long the VWFS finance check takes? I am probably getting impatient in my excitement. God knows what i'd be like during the build time.

Cheers.
Ours was done in the g/fs name (better credit rating) sure it only took a couple of days!

I sat with the dealer while he did it. Instant yes or no from the computer. Luckily it was a yes :funk:

My Mystery Blue SC 300 turned up on Wednesday, it's my first seat and I am blown away with how much I like it. I keep finding excuses to drive it! A good waxing did wonders for the paint. Got the digital dash as well which I wasn't expecting.

When did you order yours, and what do you think of the digital dash?

Hi all,

I have a confirmed build week 09 for my Cupra with the car due in UK mid March. Does anyone have a rough idea how long it takes a car to be ready for pick up after it comes off the ship?

Thanks,
J

I was told by the dealer and seat customer services it can take up to 2 weeks. Who did you order from?

:Saw my first OTR 300 it was black and the guy decided to cut me up on a roundabout .

TBH it was only when I switched lanes further on down the road and caught a look at the headlights in my rearview that I realized it wasn't a 280/290.

Sounded quite nice as he was pulling off his dangerous manoeuvre.

Not sure if I'm going to bother waiting until March now :D

Took delivery of my mystery blue ST 300 yesterday. It's a ridiculous amount of car for £2,400 down and £180pm! (Well, I'm actually paying a little bit more than that as I added on keyless, parking sensors, camera and ACC.) The thing that most impresses me is the ride on the 19s - even in Cupra mode it may be firm but there's no 'thumpiness'. I took the car out for a drive last night in the dark and damp. It's a quick car with plenty of grip and strong brakes. It's not a chuckable hot hatch with aggressive turn in and sparkling handling, but still a nice thing to steer along a sweeping, fast road. It's going to be agony keeping the revs down for the first thousand miles. The engine is almost diesel sounding at low revs but the noise gets much better when you put your foot down and it feels very eager. Virtual cockpit works well, just for me based on the fact that you can have the sat nav between the dials.

I wasn't planning on getting one of these cars - I was looking at second hand Audi A6 Allroads to fulfil family duties (I have something more interesting for weekends). But the lease on the Cupra made it a no-brainer. And in the real world there's no point comparing it to the Golf R, because with discounts and lease deals (and the fact that things like 19s and adjustable suspension are standard) the Cupra is thousands cheaper. Golf estates are too boxy at the back too. With the wheels, paint and black trim, the Cupra really stands out among the standard SUVs and hatches in my street. So far, I'm loving it and can't think of any family car that would come close for the money.

If you don’t mind me asking how much more per month with the extras. That sounds like a good price for the st. Is that manual?

Thanks for this. I get same a week today so great to hear some initial impressions whilst waiting. Agree the value is brilliant. Mine was around £1400 down and £229 a month for 11k pa so a similar deal I think when you do the maths.

I'm still slightly beating myself up for not going for the 5 door, which I assume is a little more agile, but the ST was slightly cheaper (!) and just thought the extra practicality would be helpful from time to time.

I didn't test drive either (only a 150 diesel four years ago), so it'll be fun regardless compared to my current Insignia (served me well but not fun).

Again, thanks for feedback from you and others, has really helped through the few months of waiting!

Enjoy your car.

Yes, it's a manual. Metallic paint was free and 8,000 miles per year. I'm paying £216.06pm with the options via Central Vehicle Leasing. Looks like the basic price has gone up to £188 now.

I also came from a less sporty, bigger car (Mazda6 estate). Think you'll love the ST300 and find it to be a great all rounder. And FAST.

I'll be using that big boot for a few runs to the tip at the weekend...

What announcement is that Graham?

A bit cryptic from me.
It’s the new Cupra brand announcement. There is another thread on here about it. So there won’t be a seat Leon Cupra in future. Syphon is attending the event and will I’m sure have more info later today.

Seat uk told me on the phone that anything built after week 1 would come with the virtual cockpit.
