Luck of the draw. It was a couple of days for me, regardless of how close the dealer is to the port. I think our docked on a Tuesday evening and was hoping for pickup that weekend. Ended up being the following weekend, though the dealer had it well ahead of us picking it up. Could not get there earlier due to work and distance.

As I've not heard a thing from my dealer since ordering the car, I expect it'll be gathering dust around the back of the workshop for a couple of years before they think to give me a call!

Do you guys just use your local dealer, as the service you get seems crap, I use the best dealer in the vicinity, even if it means traveling a bit. The two in Edin are like yours that's why I don't use them and for years have been traveling to the borders. As the family are selling up, my car is now being delivered to Fife SEAT, the 2nd best dealer in the area, both have been giving me regular updates of my 280 and the holdup was SEAT building the motor in the first place. What happens when you have a problem if your dealer is crap, how can you know your car will be serviced correctly, why give them your money.:confused:

Its my first SEAT so I had never been in there before. SEAT dealers always come last in customer satisfaction surveys, so I wasn't expecting much and they delivered just that!

Sales and aftercare are two different things though. Buy the car where you can get the best deal and get it serviced at the most convenient dealer (assuming they aren't crap).

Yeh that sounds good, but I'm sure the two Edin ones are not good at anything except taking your cash. There is in existence a Sales and Aftersales list of all the SEAT dealers and it shows a list of customer rated for both, got it from my dealer. Also working for Scottish Water helps as so large there are plenty of SEAT customers to get info from.:D

I went to Fife Seat to see if they would deal, they refused to give me a penny off, so I took my business elsewhere and saved almost 6k.

I hope you emailed them and told them that to rub it in their faces.

I thought that myself last night as mine is currently being built. Just hope they finished it yesterday! :crash:

Things will be hanging off everywhere :p Just be glad they didn't lose to england lol.

I just hope they get over it for week 27 when mine is being built :)
