Same position it’s a cheap lease, I think that put you on a position of well take the deal or don’t and Seat aren’t that bothered with Lease deals maybe.

On another note just went on the Seat Uk site to build one it does say Seat Cupra 290 and has the new grey colour, also states a 6 speed DSG.

No list of options though like you can’t add any not sure if that’s my phone or they have removed them?

Agree on this, I'm less bothered with it being a lease, but if id bought this car id be fuming if it was not how I wanted it. Just hope my build week 38 has the winter pack and 7 speed dsg. Knowing my luck it probably will not.

Seat Warrington told me my BW40 is a 6 speed and I mentioned the winter pack they said they don’t know anything g about it and bonus for me if I get it.

Probably will be ON the same boat too

Hopefully not this one:

According to the updated price list....
Black callipers with Cupra Logo... (as expected)
Cupra logo on door sills, steering wheel (more than the single one mentioned.. hoping that's correct )
Winter pack...

Nothing about copper, but the photos of the 5dr on the configurator still have everything in silver, so no help there..

If you look, it says that it has a 0-60 of 6s (which we know and don't really get) but a top speed of 250mph. Low long is 7th gear??!

Guess the 250 is kph otherwise that is long:roflmao:

The week 38-42 builds you would hope (i am) are the 7 speed, otherwise they would have to get two versions approved for wltp which seems pointless.

Interestingly it looks like the torque has stayed the same which is good. There is also no mention of exhaust sound differences in the driving modes for the cupra just the actuator, not sure if it always read like that

I don’t know or understand where people are getting this info about copper from.
These links are dated sept and Oct 18 and clearly depict the MY19 setup of the base cupra, the st cupra and the lux version of each.
There is no copper detailing. There are black brake callipers.
I ordered my basic 4drive in April no other options. If the car is built as ordered MY18 I get what I ordered. If it’s built MY19 I now don’t get a spare wheel but will get a winter pack. And can add a spare wheel for £90ish.

If they do a mash up of MY19 and add bits to ensure I get what I ordered then it sounds like a bespoke order and can’t see the factory set up for this but who knows until the cars actually arrive.

Here

For reasons that make sense to nobody except SEAT they are not updating the website/configurator etc with the new specifications until production of those cars actually starts, which is next week!

Check this thread

The info is straight from the seat hub that the dealerships have access to if they care to look.

The info is now with the SEAT finance teams too (VWFS)

It was also available on the Dutch SEAT site before the UK announcement last week.

It's happening, although the dealers are suggesting that between WLTP and the CUPRA brand changes this year it's made the whole business of ordering a CUPRA a long one..

Hi all, I’ve been tracking everyone’s progress for the past month or so and today I thought there may finally be progress on all fronts. Seeing on a previous post that the website has now been updated made me scramble onto my email to get on my dealers back about placing my order and getting lease quotes. Low and behold he has already emailed me saying we are ready to get going and to let him know what I want and he will get the quoted together and ping them over to me! What a result! Are things finally coming together?!?!?!

Will keep you all updated on progress. I’m due to swap my current ateca xcellence April 2019.

That's great news, would love to see what figures they come up with as they were good before they were removed from sale and what the chances of it being available to collect in April .

I had confirmation today from CS that my ST 4drive has actually been built during BW40 (ordered Feb)! Awaiting some emissions figures due next week before it’s released from the factory. Being desire red, I’m quite pleased it made it before the copper changes are brought in. With regards to the BW38-41 ‘frakencupras’, I’m don’t really understand the concern. I’m expecting it to be exactly as ordered with the exception of Beats Audio instead of Seat Sound. If it has a 7spd and winter pack then bonus, if not then fine- I wasn’t expecting these anyway so not fussed.

I like the way they have written "while these changes are enhancements to the MY18 specification" who are they kidding!
I also fail to see how making it slower to accelerate to 62mph than previous Mk3 Cupra 280, 290, 300 and adding a marmite colour to the badges can be described as "enhancements". Going from 6.0 to 5.7 would be an enhancement, not the other way, they've now made the dsg slower to 62 than the manual ha ha
