sounds like things are looking up then mate;) glad to hear it!

i'm sure you'll feel much more positive about the car with a stage 2 map:D

He will feel much more positive as he passes you ;) hehe

what figures do a phase 2 give then dave?

Seems that insurance have about 4200 to play with.. I'm really not convinced that it can be repaired for that, take 3 days labour at 40 quid.. There's 900 quid, and it's not gonna be done for that.. Then all the parts.. It's going to be v. hit and miss IMO, and with it that hit or miss.. Dunno.

If it's got to be repaired it will be, with the bits i've said done.. If not great, fresh start...

Not convinced I want it again if it'll be that close to be written off again lol..

We'll see, hopefully gauge better after saturday.

the damage doesnt look that bad, at least it isn't chassis damage, my girlfriends ibiza was worse than that when she smashed it up, and the insurance repaired it and gave it back to her within a few weeks, couldn't even tell the car had had a smack, if u aint happy with the repair you dont have to take it back till you are 100% happy

it's more part pricing vs car value, parts that seem to need replacing are expensive.. had same front damage when i hit the dog, that was 1600 alone...

i honestly think it'll be a push to do it for ~4200 - Maybe upto 4500?. (based on a market value of 7500, which i think is about right for a 30k 07, looking on autotrader)

Spoken to the bodyshop today, looking at £5k so far, still waiting for more parts to come in too.

This being the case, it's really borederline writeoff, so it's coming back here to be stripped either way. (Then the decision will be made to either return it to it's current state or sell it when I see how it feels if repaired, obviously new car if written off.)

If it does get written off then the following will more than likely be for sale:

Alpine IVA-D310RB Headunit
Eibach Pro-Street-S Coilovers
Cupra Intake
Milltek Turbo-back Exhaust
SEAT Sport Strut Brace
Whiteline ARB
Sachs Performance Clutch

Also have a fairly curbed wheel that I was going to refurb and use as a spare, but never got round to it, that'll be for sale.

if theres no damage to the "Eibach Pro-Street-S Coilovers" can i have first dib's and how much would you want? as well as exhaust system?

I'd be looking at about 250 each, confirm when everything's off - The garage that are doing the quote are confident that the suspension is ok, I had a proper look at the exhaust before sending it there and all seems absolutely fine.

Suspension has covered between 15-20k, just bedded in, exhaust had done perhaps 5-10k, few surface scratches on it that'll polish out, just from having landed in the hedge.

ohh dave can i bagsy the Cupra intake???

and also and a big also will the cupra rear bumper be coming off :p or will that be written off with car?

id have the pd intake :D if it does get written off? so why not just get another ibiza??

but seeing as yours is a tdi that about all i could take off you :(

Bumper would have to be written off with the car.
I've thought about another Ibiza but would only go for an upgrade.. Which leaves me with a Cupra, as there's sod all Ibiza Cupras about I'm investigating alternatives :)

The car will be missed amazingly, but having it back would feel weird as well, and any other FR would always be compared to XAP, therefore I'd have to do all the same stuff and more, but it still wouldn't be the same.

It's still not confirmed yet, it'd be kept for a bit if it was repaired just to give me some time to save some dollar, but ultimately it's written off out of my mind already!

I don't want black or red, leaves very few about ;)

Oh, also, doing less miles, whilst I love the in gear pull of diesel, I'm not opposed to petrol in the slightest - Open to both!
