n249 bypass

Right guys can i just have a quick clear up here as i am going to do this on my AUQ engine this week and this thread is doing my nut with confusion. One minute i think i understand it then the next i am lost again. Here goes....

Hose runs from top of DV to the underneath of the inlet manifold where the hose from the FPR is currently attached?

In removing the existing hose from underneath the manifold (that goes to the FPR originally) i can just take that piece of hosing away as the other end is removed at the FPR to allow for the new hose to run to the T piece?

Finally, the hose from the Vac Res (black box) is just pulled out from the box and plugged along with the hose unplugged from the top of the DV with a bolt?

Can i have a yes if thats right so i can pat my daft self on the back or a no so i can go shoot myself?

Also. I have a 007p DV and its been in for about a year and a bit now. How would i give it a wee clean or a service? is it easy enough to do?

From under manifold [that originally went to FPR] straight to the DV and T off this pipe to the FPR

Yes blank off pipe from the black box

The one from the box is the one to the DV isn't it?

Not sure without looking but I think so.

The one from the box runs down seperate to the one from the top of DV.

If i pop the hose off the box and the hose off top of DV i have two pipes to block??

sorted the 'N249 bypass' out on my car today. power seems to have been increased any without any problems. ive also noticed im gettin my split-r dv to finally make a noise.....

will report if any changes occur but so far, so good......

yer me too!any place i can get vac pipe from off the shelf rather than ordering off the net.think i saw it in halfords but not sure.

i didnt actually buy any pipe and just used wot i had there in front of me...... by far the cheapest mod ive done.
£0 and about 30mins work...

just been over halfords and the didnt have any vac pipe!where else sells it?would a b&q, screwfix, machine mart type place sell it.dont realy want to order it off the net i dont like waiting for things!

Don't really want to use the type off stuff like a fish tank uses, the walls of the tube are to thin.

Ordered mine off ebay, 1m hose and a brass T piece came to £7 odds total.

You need more than 1 meter mate.
