Isn't that the default behaviour?

If you have the handbrake on, switch it to D, tap the gas and it will disengage the handbrake automatically as you set off
...personally, I rather do it myself, since I don't think it is good for the car.

I've got a 2016 184FR Technology, so it's got all the LED DRL's, auto lights, etc, and a MIB2 head unit. In the OBDeleven Apps there's one that I wanted to active called 'DRL settings in head unit'. When I go into it, it says that it's 'Not supported'. My friend has the same car but a 2015 with the MIB1, and it works fine. Is it worth doing it manually through the adaptations with the following:

On or Off daytime running lights (DRL) from the screen
This modification will add a new option in the menu of lights that allow us to activate or deactivate the daytime running lights (DRL) from the screen.
1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347)
2 - Adaptation
3 - Select - Daytime Running Light
4 - Sub - Tagfahrlichtnur Aktivierung oder durch BAP Bedienfolge moeglich
5 - Change value to ON

Didn't fancy just trying it in-case it buggers something up!

It’ll be fine.

There are two ways in which you can disable DRLs.

The above which gives you freedom to turn on and off in any switch mode (the light selector switch nearest the driver door).

Or you can set it so they turn off when you place the light selector switch to OFF, (this depends whether you have AUTO lights).

The latter is handy if you don’t want to route through menu systems.

Is there any way to have cornering lights (static AFS from module 9) without enabling it with blinker switches? I just want to light up when I actually turn.

Thank you.

Within OBDeleven steering assistance, has anyone activated the driving profile switchover and changed it to Direct, controlled over threshold value?

There are many people all over the internet saying it affects throttle response.

If so, why is it located in the steering section?

Surely it should just affect the steering and not throttle.

First of all do this modification in module 09

1 - Electronic control module 09-. Code (31347)
2 - Adaptation
3 - wiper
4 - Menuesteuerung konfortwischen HW
5 - Change value to On

Then you need to activate setting in 5F unit otherwise you can control it and wiper going to run all the time on AUTO
1 - Electronic control module 5F-.
2 - Adaptation
This two menu need to bit of adjustment :)

First modify section Function list BAP

After that go to other menu Vehicle menu operation

Red marked need to be change

After you have finished with this mod need to reboot unit hold down power button until you hear crack in speakers
And that's it ;)
Can anyone help me out? My auto wipers are always on as described in this post but the fix isn't available because the pictures are gone. I've trawled through this forum, Skoda forums and VW forums looking for a fix but this is the closest thing I've found. Does anyone know what the images were or can provide new ones of the code that's there? I've tried PMing the user but they've not replied

Yes this affects throttle response...not noticed anything change to the steering. Removes the lag/hesitation from the throttle.

Would highly recommend changing to direct. Makes such a difference... especially if DSG.

Drive-by-wire throttle, so it's likely the same system used to electronically change steering settings as throttle e.g. from comfort to sport etc.

Hi, does anyone know what's the DRL channel in the facelift model? I can't seem to find where it is. On pre-facelift it should have an adaption called daytime running lights, but mine doesn't.

Thank you.

I've got a DSG and I've had it activated for days, and noticed no difference. I've tried it in drive and in sport mode.

For me, changing to 'Direct, controlled over threshold' value (from 'Incremental, controlled over time') made the accelerator pedal much more responsive, lost the lag / hesitation when pulling away.

Any know the actual difference apart from specs and more vehicle support when comparing the next gen to the previous model? Excluding the pro licence.

Does anyone know how to stop the wipers going to sleep when you stop at a junction?

Who's fekin bright idea was that eh? Just because the car's not moving, if I'm sitting at a busy junction in the city I still want to see out of the sodding window!

And the wipers don't start again until you're moving at about seven mph. Genius. I want to see before I move!

Agreed. This pisses me right off. When you stop it is linked to your intermittent wiper delay.

It seems to drop one wiper position. So if you're on constant it'll drop to intermittent and if you're on intermittent it will stop.

I'd love to meet the knobs who thought that was a good idea. It's a perfect case of doing something because you can rather than because it's a good idea. Wouldn't be so bad if they let you toggle it from the menu but no...
