Oil for my Formula Sport (1.4 Petrol)

Evening all.

Need a quick reply, if poss I checked the oil on my 57 Formula Sport and found I need some, having had a look through the manual it isnt very clear. Any one know what I should be using.

Go to the dealer let um top you up for free between sevices... That's what I do as it really shouldn't need any substantial quantity! Yet likely has more to do with it running on synthetic which seems to heat up & evaporate irritating habit of what is supposed to be superior oil!!!

Sounds like a good idea, but the dealer is 80 mile round trip.

Took the handbook to the local skoda dealer and he advised me what I need. Then bought it cheaper

I checked mine the other day only had it 2 months and checked the oil and it half way down the stick. My old tdi never used a drop.

might just be where the engines running in, they tend to use more fuel, oil and water while every thing settles down. (well thats how bmw's work)
