Hi all,
I've been a member for a while now but this is the first post I've made as I feel that I'm about ready to dip my toe in the SEAT water, also for the first time.

The reason I've decided on the Cupra is simple. No car is perfect, all models by all manufacturers have good and bad points, and all can be improved upon. I basically go for value for money, and my equation for calculating this is simple;

width of smile while driving/price=VFM.

Ive driven the Cupra and all the competion and the Cupra came out top, but when you throw in factors like THIS it starts to become a no-brainer.

My question for all you Mk2 Cupra owners is; Did you pay list price or manage to negotiate discount? 10% off at Broadspeed may be worth a little extra wait.
If you'd rather not post figures please PM me and give me a guide, it really would be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

When I rang Broadspeed they wouldnt do a Cupra for any less than our dealer which was book price in fact Broadspeed recommened we stick with the dealer as they didnt know when they'd get their hands on one this was back in January

I havn't priced a Cupra but the deal negotiator quoted the following,

SEAT Leon FR 2.0 TFSI with Bluetooth, Convenience Pack and finished in Black Magic (metallic) £16,097,

I collected 3 weeks later:)

they are near Gatwick but Direct Seat are up your way

Totally agree, i've also tried all the competition Civic Type R, Mazda3 MPS, Focus ST, Astra VXR. But taking all the factors into account. VFM, Fun Factor, Looks, Equipment rarity there is no beating the Cupra :D Biggest problem i had was deciding which colour;)

I managed to get 5% off through Broadspeed in the first week of January. The usual SEAT dealer Broadspeed used wouldn't sell it for that price so they had to shop around to find another willing SEAT dealer....

Went to take the plunge yesterday with broadspeed, but double checked their price before phoning and they now say that the cupra is unavailable for sale at a discount. [:@]
I guess I'm going to have to trail around the dealerships again and haggle their best prices out of them.
Can anyone recommend a dealer above others for customer service (in the North East) if their prices come out pretty much alike, which i guess they will.

Yes what you have been told is not bull**** as I collected mine today from the supplying dealer Broadspeed used (David Cook Motors in Chadderton, Oldham)and I was told they would not be supplying any more to Broadspeed customers for the time being......

I rang my four local dealers with spec of Cuprs required wanting to use scrappage scheme. Not one would offer any discount at all and even suggested I just go for the nearest dealer. Ended up getting standard deal (£2.5K off).
