Sorry mate, what car/turbo you got?

Sach clutch ome or the uprated one? With a duel or single mass flywheel?

Just interested because i need a new clutch

ive now started the same with mine, been drivin it 2 weeks 1 week with a good few bursts and the next taking it easy down the motorway with the odd burst!

as of the last 2 days between 2700 and 3000 it slips then from there on its grand

to over come thius i dont burst it untill im about 3000 rpm then gun it from there on, all in all im very happy with it

ive started a wee payment plan there for a helix clutch kit rated to 410 ibft so should be fitting it in the next 2 months depending if the clutch deterates any more!

the whole rev range has changed now and i like it! :)[B)]

its at silverstone so its no way local to u which is a shame, would be good to see how quick ur beast is :)

ha im sure i could get a few runs at bishop's court later this year near belfast! its got a track and a drag strip, quite glad at this because i only know there was such a place within a 30 mile radius about a year ago lol

tell ya what though, im going to the edition 38 meet this year in northampton on the 1st of september
if your heading to that then you'll prob get to see it and maybe a few other hybrids

Clone, Im the new proud owner of tall-paul's ibiza.
So its the pd160 hybrid (essensially the same as the 130) hybrid from TD.
Its a sach uprated clutch on the standard flywheel as the upgraded one apparently rattled like mad.
Pretty much an identical car to Philsips except i have Hi-spec monster brakes n Different wheels.

Philsip, yours boosts at higher revs than mine, mine comes in from around 2k n then just gets up and goes :D
How much is the Helix Clutch, ie just for the pressure plate.

Dont think im going to bother changing mine until i really need to, 9/10 its fine just the occasional slip.

My figures are 238bhp, 360lb/ft

Congrats mate, it's a lovely looking car!

Both of you are getting clutch slip - thats not goodl! You on a standard flywheel aswell then philip or will you be getting a single mass with the helix set-up?

class, glad to see theres others on the same boat as me!

though the clutch slip has slowly stopped doin it! ive been saving the power to 3000 the bursting it a few times this week, then gave it a wee run at 2500 and no slip? was a wee bit shocked

its going to cost 700 pounds total in my case and with the supplier, thing is that its there ready to be fitted but i want to get the most out of my current system till it finally goes. i personally perdict 2-3 months, i think the pressure plates are around £250-£300 but cant quote you on it!

i bet the brakes are unreal at stopping! as for mine, they do the job but after about 5 extreme braking sections there do fade in stopping power!

You're the lucky guy that bought Paul's Ibiza? It's a beast!

This big yellow car is sloooooow... I seen a granny in a Micra overtake it the other night!

Just messin!! This thing is unreal... First and Second are pretty quick, then he flicks it into third (Holy ****) and I had to then check my own car who was behind his flat out wasn't actually going backwards!!

Completely Mental car!!!

what sort of mileage has your sachs kit lasted for?
i was expecting a sachs or helix to outlast my ownership at least :ban:

Still undecided mate? I've decided to go for a helix with a single mass. yes it will rattle but i don't want to ***** about with the power and i'll just dip my clutch to take the noise away when need be. I told my mum that i would be spending £800 on a clutch - she wasn't pleased ( better keep the hybrid a secret :D )

First and second won't seem as quick as third as I doubt be can get the power down!

I must admit, NO - ONE said that about my car when it was hybrid. Only how disappointed they were! :(

man you'll have it going sweet soon, "aways look on the bright side of life" ;)

That was class! glad phil you liked it! was showing him around the car a few rainy nights ago!

ill take him a spin in it soon enough :)

as for 1st and 2nd gear, i dare not boot it. Maybe when it was just mapped, it would have been ok to gun it in 2nd, but now its wheel spin galour, 3rd gear seems to be just about the right gear of choice, but then again in the wet it will still spin :(;)

im actually dreading sunday atm, because ive to go to the lake district for a weeks outdoor activity ( absailing, hiking, canoeing and sailing ) cant wait but ill miss the car for the week!

the clutch lasted about 40k, im not susprised it wanted to let go after a few runs with the power, it just goes and goes
