i put a switch in the cubby hole under the steering wheel, push it once and the clock will flash!

hi, nice work, i have put a new head unit in were the vents are and i have come across a couple problems that you might know about.... all of the standerd headunit doesnt work so i cant controll my heating or the clock doesnt work (all i have is the 3 plugs that are in one row which are yellow,blue and green i think). and the other is that when i start the car i have to hold the key as far clockwise as it goes then the new cd player that i put in works (i wedge a bit of card in the key bit to hold it on ful clockwise to keep the cd player on lol. any help apreciated (maybe something to do with remote wire :S?
