powersteering light came on and the steering became extremely heavy

Ok ,so this is the second time ive had this problem ,basically i was driving round an island doing about 10mph and my powersteering light came on and the steering became extremely heavy. It happened again a few days later. Recently my ABS light has been coming on even though im not even braking?!

Anyone know anything about this problem or has had it themselves?
Ive booked it into Seat to sort it out.

Next problem is ,in the passengers footwell i had some plastic pieces lying on the floor ,ever since cold air has been blowing in from around the same area as the footwell heating is.
Any ideas what this is? or what the pieces are?

plastic bit are probably your pollen filter cover clips look under dash in passenger foot well and power steering abs fault is most likely earth lead from battery to car body corroded

i has this problem on an old car, turned out to be a faulty alternator, worth a quick check mate

I had this after the car had been stood for a while. The power steering and ABS are electronically controlled instead of mechanically controlled so I would check your battery isnt low on charge. At high speed it is probably getting enough charge from the alternator so wouldnt show a problem. Its generally at low speed when the battery is under load that it will show a problem.
