I'd be searching the "for sale" forum on here for the various accessories you want, they often crop up, could save yourself a chunk over buying new.

you can just use your existing callipers with larger carriers.
Not on the majority of Mk4's you couldn't, they use a completely different caliper/carrier design. Been discussed a few times...

yea will do, have these on order now....

so wanted to buy the other bits now as well, but holding back just in case something crops up on here, would be gutted to fork out 55 for the brace and then 75 for the adaptor and hose for it to come available on here for half price

A 'strut brace' compliments an already lowered suspension configuration (stiffens the car across the struts)?

However there will still be a decent amount of body roll with a car on standard suspension anyway, so what real benefit will fitting a strut brace provide?
I know, the FR might have "sports" suspension, which might make it a little stiffer, but said car is still not lowered.

Therefore fitting a strut brace on a car with standard ride height, you are not going to notice any beneficial results - unless fitting it is just for cosmetics? ;)

i felt the difference mate...car is more responsive going into turns and less understeer (although it's still there if you keep pushin)

I felt a difference with my strut brace on... but I guess I was REALLY looking to see just how different it felt!

...Interesting. Thankyou for the feedback on this NickyJam/Gooner_Mike. Mine is mildly lowered (just on Eibach springs at the moment), therefore I might give a front strut brace some consideration.
