Nah I've had my eye out at the moment, also in the market, and seen a couple of nice example for around the £9k mark. Place called, IIRC, MRB has a load on autotrader for £9.7/9.8k at the moment, non silly high milers, looks like a reputable place as well. They also have a 210 for 8995 with 52k on, so they are out there, just gotta look. Or if you were willing to buy privately, I'm sure a 225 for 9k would be easy.

Saw a 105k miler up for 7,995 the other day as well heh. Must admit, it didn't look like a 105k mile car at all. I'm fortunate in that my budget is a little greater than these examples tho, so am taking my time and been super picky :)

Have you actally seen these cars in the metal though? I saw loads of R's when I was buying mine, they all "sound" great in the ads, until you get there and see them... And that was on 11k cars never mind 9k ones.

No I must admit I haven't seen all those from MBR - I have seen a few others though, and generally they've been ok, although one was clearly not heh. I'm been super picky and anal about though hehe. Hanging out for one with the Recaro's, in black, with sub 30k, early 225, up to about £12k - and preferably closeish :)

Good luck with finding then :D Although you're right to be picky about it with cars like this imo

I agree mate, its worth waiting for the right one
I ended up flying half way across the country and got the guy to pick me up when i got mine

it was well worth it.

stick to your requirements and one will turn up, i was searching 3 months.
If you can, get vag com, cable(£20) and a laptop to do a scan on the car.

You'll want it for when you got the car anyway.

I have been looking for last couple of months. I only want to go through a SEAT dealer and 55 plates in black and plat grey are rarely under £15k with under 20k on clock - and that is if you can find them in your area.

In fact some garages seem to have put LCR's on the market on 55 plates with under 10k at a fiver under £16k!! Considering brand new £18k nearly 1 1/2 years ago that is quite a price!
