Quick labour time Q for some small mods..

sick of having these parts hanging around and i cant fit as dont have tools or access to ramp etc.

Just wondering what you guys think is a fair assessment on how long it should take for a VW specialist to complete these jobs. garage i usually use and trust to do the job perfect

1.fitting lower strut brace into holes (i rekon 10 minute job)
2.fitting EIP short shift to gearbox
3.fitting dogbone mount bushes

they will charge the earth. get it done as a homer if possible.

the short shift is a scoosh! and i'm a complete novice. took me 10 mins with the right tools. spanner and bearing puller required. bearing puller can be bought at halfrauds

the strut brace, likewise.

as for the bushes i didn't have a ramp so took it to a local garage and they charged £20 which was agreed up front. had to laugh when it took the guy over an hour! lol. he was wrestling about trying to get the new bushes on till i kindly suggested a vice might help!

i dont have access to tools and i dont know anyone that will be able to do a homer on it
so im stuck really, and i hate having these parts looking at me
i think my vag specialist will be cheaper than say taking the stuff to JBS or Awesome still

I would say 90 mins total wheels up to wheels down

strut brace is easy - and about 10 mins (did one lieing on the floor at awesome in the car park)

Short shift is equally quick, and only a problem if something strips

dog bone i've not done, but it's not 'that' hard if it's just replaceing like for like 7 not pushing bushes in

s3 brace, just straight into chassis andy
literally 5 minute job putting the riv nuts in
just cant get it up and i refuse to take the nightmare jack covers off

if you could give a screaming price id come over, but im limited to weekends as need car to get to work through the week

I had a quick word with the technicians and apparently the S3 brace isnt quite as easy to fit as that. You should be looking no more than £67.50+VAT total.

just im limited to weekends and i have money burning the pockets as pay day was today and all my bills are paid
