But at least you haven't incriminated yourself on a public forum like some. ;)

So what do we have so far...

Breaking the speed limit
Dangerous driving
Racing on the public highway

Anyone want to pass him a shovel so he can dig a deeper hole?

yer but u said this was cos of traction and the s3 is four wheel drive?

 don't think so?............not in this thread?

(I would say the S3 would be close, probably a bit slower due to extra weight and transmission losses though.....should have the edge on a standing start due to 4wd)

Have they 100% decided to get one after the MkV Gti Goes?? I know it was on the short list.....would be good though :drive1:
Nope, they're not getting one anymore. :(

They're thinking about the new LCR when it comes out though. :D

Did it have 4 exhaust pipes at the back? If not then it wasn't. To be honest if it was he wasn't trying! Not off the line, 5sec or just under 0-60 with RWD, lots of gizmos and a 400bhp V8. Having been in an 400bhp M5 numerous times I can confirm they are quite a bit quicker than a remapped LCR.

not sure about the exhaust pipes, i rekon it was probably a 540 though cos people who r not trying dont get up to 140mph! lol

what bhp are the old shape m5's then ? think he was trying his hardest but my passenger who was watching him thinks it was an automatic.

If the BMW you are referring to is from 1998 onwards it would have 400bhp as standard If its really an old one like say 1992 BMW M5 they had 340 HP 3.8 litre engine.

In myopinion it would easily beat an LCR if they were really tring or maybe eased off. This brings me to the question its rather different comparing a car thats comes as standard with a lot of power with something that has to have re-maps, loads of mods etc to the base unit to get it up to more power ..yes, it can be done its different and a diferent power delivery and car.....

had a race off the lights with a bmw m5 last night in my lcr (not the new 500bhp one).
The guy was sat at the lights pressing all his buttons on his computers and gear box to change all his settings with a big grin on his face, he got a better start but after bout 50 yards i just pulled straight past him, he looked so dissapointed id just creamed his 60k car :p. we ended up at about 140 when the lights infronnt of us turned red ! only just broke in time!

sorry no vids or pics

maybe he was just checking out what was on the radio!!
