Maybe it depends on how much you drive after the reset?
I normally do mine on a weeknight and leave it alone till i drive it to work in the morning. I drive for an hour on the way to work, so mine might react better to it than someone who resets it and drives around the block for 5 mins.

Hmm, I had a forced ECU reset the other day when my battery was shifted from the engine bay and clamped down in the boot.... Was a pig to drive until the car realised how to drive - Guess it's down to the remapping and ther fuel additives / LPG injection. It wa smoking a good'un, but has now calmed down back to it's old self.

If I want a little more short term power, an ECU reset is the last thing I would do. I might lob a litre of petrol in with a tank of diesel though. :D

i have just done it will let u know what i think cheers for the top tip :D lol

I recently changed one of the fuses in my ibiza, after the change, many of the electric accesories in my seat stop working. The turn signals, air conditioning, some of the lights in the dashboard, etc. I have owned many cars and this is the first time it happened to me. There was no short circuit or anything, I can´t believe my car stop working after changing a fuse. help please!
